In ANY other series, I would prefer Shiqi; however, Cang Xuan's mix of devotion, scheming, protectiveness, and crazy just pushed all of my buttons. I know their story will break my heart, but this is a rare case where it hurts in a good way. 😅

between all the characters, Cang Xuan is the most relatable to most human being. He got lost in the process of the pursuing, and forgot what exactly his purpose in the first place. I think he’s a dark INFJ. He doesn’t mind people used him, he is empathetic with all of the people whom seek protection on him. That’s why he made a great emperor. 😂 the funny thing is his main goal is to live safely with xiao yao, but he ends up draging xiao yao whom already had a good life into his power battle because he things khe need to be an emperor to protect her.

why does he always suffer???? from the start till the end...... I truly want him to be happy with her but I know that's impossible....
