My mom bought me the original Xbox at Target, and this game. This was my only game for a while, until I got Halo eventually. Still love it, and it means a lot to me.

I got this for Christmas 2001 and I was initially disappointed with the fact that it wasn't the official F1 game of that year. But I soon grew to love this version no end.

The NTSC-J version of TXR 3 doesn't have the glitch of TXR 3, where wanderers' requirements are the main big wall to complete the game (in this case, 2 wanderers have the requirements for you to have a lot of CP/cash in other they can accept your challenge to race them)

For its time, this and Gran Turismo on PS1 were probably the most realistic racing games. I remember going through the menus and customizing the vehicle for certain races in both games. Then came Project Gotham, and Forza right after, then Assetto Corsa. The jump from the 90’s is wild. Can’t wait for another 25 years to see what we get in racing games.

This game are the next stop in my race career. I was f1 champ 7 times, Le Mans champ 2 times, Nascar champ one time, WEC champ 3 times, GT500 champ more than 25 times, DTM more than 50, GT1 champ 3 times and SPA one time. I did all of it in this games: Gram Turismo 4 and 6, NASCAR Thunder and F1 2010. I just need a title in the Formula Indy and in Rally to get my crown triplice in automobilism.

In GT6, I've played every map, gathered every star from all events, and most gold challenges except some of the hardest and latest challenges, and some of the coffee breaks I couldn't gold no matter what. I have 20 million in credits and almost every car I want. I basically just like racing a Suzuki Swift or a Neon SRT4 in some basic races. The Vettel challenges are less interesting for "fun" as they are super hectic, and really hard to gold (silvered them all with dual shock controller). Overall 5/5 game, but it NEEDS more offline content and races. Like custom race or random race, or seasonals. And just more progression races with better looot.. I meean credits. Why the online was shut down? Why? I want to make a race for mid-field race track. I want to race basic cars, not just super cars or vision GT cars. I want custom maps, I want local tracks from Finland like Ahvenisto. Oh well, I guess I could start over the game. What GT6 could also improve is really a world map of the events, and more long tracks like the Sierra map, and with more races in traffic or open world. Now you can't pick any of your cars for those Sierra races, just the ones given. But why not any car? I just want to drive some basic BMW 120i or Honda Accord R '00 fast. Not some lame supercars like Ferraris or Lambos, which are boring.

I'm amazed they actually made so many games for that cop? series. Very niche game and it really feels like the PS3/360 generation was the last hurray for games with this smaller scope.

Underrated masterpiece. This is how you do a demo. This and GT SPORT are examples for that (and GT4 Prologue) But I never was able to experience the Spec II and Spec III versions. Idk why.

I remember this game really well, my brother and my dad used to play this game alot, they would play this game all day and all night when I was 5 years old. This was the most realistic game that ever came out then when I was that age.

Now I might be doing something wrong, but I... don't really like this? When I saw the gameplay and all the user reviews, I thought it's gonna be nice, so I happily ordered the cartridge along with Top Gear Rally. And while Top Gear Rally is a fantastic game and I really like it (and I mean it, I never owned a N64 when I was a kid and I was never really bothered with this platform until recently), this game is... just not there? Like all the player cars are stupidly fast, so you can't brake on turns efficiently, you always crash. It's stupidly easy to land outside of the track on long jumps and nearly impossible to land and not explode at the same time. And to top it all off, how am I supposed to win any kind of a race if I keep finishing 11th or 12th? And I keep getting lapped by the supercar leading the race. Literally no chance of winning a single race. And it's not like I'm bad at racing games, it's really just this one. But then again, maybe the guy who owned the game before I got it got so far into the game it became ridiculously difficult, I don't know. EDIT: you know what, i think i might be onto something, watching the gameplay now does not look as difficult as my copy of the game, it actually looks somewhat easy, just like top gear rally is for me

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue even 16 years after release, its still a fantastic game despite, Gran Turismo 5 has exceeded the total sales from GT5 PROLOGUE.
