There are a bunch of variations of this song, mostly from around 1946.

The singer of this song later went on to play the late night horror movie host Seymour on TV in Los Angeles.

I’m 6 years older than my fair-skinned, freckled wife and she thought for years I made this song up ! She couldn’t figure how someone would record a song with the words I used - “She has freckles on her butt but she’s pretty ! I started dating her the summer she graduated from high school and I had ETS from the Army. A friend took me to her parents house to swim and her and best friend were laying out. And, that was 45 years ago an 2:45 we’re still married.

Yes, this is Ray Bourbon, taken from his first recording of "Chiropractor's Wife" on the Western Recording Co. Bourbana label number WR-714-B. His WRC records from mid 1930s were heavily used for party record releases.

This is a dub of an unreleased Vocalion recording usually called "Operation Blues". It was recorded in Chicago on 7/22/1929 and it features Frankie Half-Pint Jaxon as the female patient and Georgia Tom Dorsey as the the doctor (aka Dr. Ezet) and doing the piano accompaniment.

Although attributed here to Paul Wynn, that sounds an awful lot like Benny Bell...

This was back when “cocktail party record” meant the content was risqué, if not downright blue.
