If you want to hear what they're like these days, Thom and Jonny have a band called The Smile that has put out 3 incredible albums in the past 3 years. Basically Radiohead is Thom and Jonny's songwriting, so you get to hear what they'd kind of sound like now, but just with different approach to arranging and some more jazzy compositions. Absolutely worth checking out. Also, Thom has 3 solo records that are all great. They're very electronic and sound very different than Radiohead, but if you like his creativity, they're worth checking out. Start with The Eraser. It's a masterpiece.

I’m so excited for the king of limbs in the basement reaction. The Daily Mail is one of my all time favourite Radiohead songs. That one isn’t on the studio album. The version they play live in the basement is the version they released as well. The recording was that good

Heard you mention how much you liked "King Of Limbs" and the song "Lotus Flower". That's sick. You should check out "Bloom" from that album, except Thom Yorke and Hans Zimmer arranged "Bloom" for Discovery Channel's Blue Planet. I'm not saying you have to react to it, but you should listen to it. I think it was a sign of what was to come with "A Moon Shaped Pool". I could be wrong. Just a fan

That high pitched noise on House of Cards that sounds a bit like a distant violin, that is Jonny's guitar! He's very quickly scraping the rough edge of a coin back and forth along the string, almost using it like a violin bow :)

I look at Radiohead as The Beatles of my generation and right up there with the best bands of all time, The King Of Limbs from the basement is just as good as this one and it may even be better. They play 3 extra songs in the basement set that aren't on any of their albums ans they're all really good to great.

For me this album was so different from the rest of their music I had to listen to it 2 times front to back in order to get it. Many of the songs connected thousands of times better the second listen. And I can’t get enough of them 😂

You should totally restart it! It isn't even a question....I'd watch your taped reaction EVEN if you had watched and seen it today, there are so many little and big details you can spend a lifetime and it doesnt get old. It would have been cool to fill you up with lore and details as it went, but we can handle a lot of that in the comments. I've never seen From the Basement done as a stream, sorry that sucks man, it would have been sick. But there are close to a dozen full reaction style complete sessions if not more that were all totally left alone, no pausing during songs, nothing special, posted to this day, no problems. It had to have been something to do with streaming it I guess. I really love your reactions so I hope you'll take another shot the old fashioned way...if not, there are 2 more, no stream unless YT sorts it out with you, recorded is fine, all your others have been great..."The King of Limbs" also never seems to get taken down, and the live show is the quintessential representation of that album, speaking on behalf of most superfans, more than the studio - some of the songs "Mr. Magpie" is a great example, that can get a little old and feel repetative on the studio album- but still super solid - man, it literally bursts to life so magnificently on the Basement version. Also, they include the 2 singles 'Daily Mail' & 'Staircase'- which may be the 2 best songs of the entire project - which arent on the studio album (unfortunate, as the entire album would be so much more respected but then again, the Single release is actually the live versions of the 2 from the Basement recording, so its likely for the best). And there is 1 more Radiohead related From the Basement... a Thom Yorke: From the Basement where he does a solo piano 4-song set - From the Basement video - which is utterly glorious. It gets skipped by everyone but I requested once before elsewhere and it went up no problem and is well well worth it- solo Thom is an experience unto itself, and this is one of the top notch ways to start and complete the 2.5 From the Basement sessions.
