This woman is fabulous! Love all her instructions with thread, winding bobbin, thread machine with foot up for tension disc open, needle Dwn /up before auto thread to ensure needle in correct position, & lastly reason to not pull thread backwards through tension disc to change thread color to avoid damage to machine. Fabulous thank you.

We still have machines! We are now called Sew Sew Studio Duluth. Our Duluth location is temporarily closed this month, February for renovations. We will reopen our Duluth location in March with all of the machine brands we have previously carried as Discover Sewing. Hi...I enjoyed your video....I have a HV Ruby 90 and I am wondering if there are built in background quilting designs I can utilize? Also, what foot is best for sewing the binding on a quilt? Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Susan! I just looked through the embroidery menu and there are some beautiful background quilting designs on the Designer Epic 3. You can also look through all of the designs in the Embroidery Sampler Booklet pdf that Husqvarna Viking has here: husqvarnaviking.com/SiteMedia/Products/Machines/designer-epic3/Embroidery-Sampler-Epic-3.pdf There are many different feet you can use to bind your quilt but, for the Ruby 90, the best and most efficient is using the Quilt Binder Attachment with your Interchangeable Dual Feed Foot. For the Epic 3, you would use the Quilt Binder Attachment with the Quilt Binder Foot for IDF since the walking foot is integrated on the machine. All of those are in stock and we can hold for pick up or ship it out to you if you’re interested. Give us a call at (770)-497-2973 to order.

So which hoops require the extensions?

Great question! You’ll want to use the insert part for all hoops beside the free-arm hoop. The wing extensions are attached when using any hoop longer than 360mm i.e. the 465x260mm hoop and the 460x450mm hoop.

Wish she’d held the colors still so we could see them. Also, I don’t think there are really that many color choices, are there? Holding the combo colors up together would be helpful.
