I have that game -original edition - as well. So no. This particular set of rules is designed for miniatures, by David Brown. You can still find the rules. However, the author has mostly moved on with his NEW version of the rules, '0 Group', by 2FatLardies. Both are fantastic sets of miniatures rules. Take care. ~Fritz

If I recall, nothing changes regarding the lists. They assume REGIMENTS are used - of a specific range in manpower. That means that if you want to use BATTALIONS, you simply increase the number of units, but maintaining the number of men. I would have to go back and read up on it. But that gives you the gist. Nothing changes in the rules, really. ~Fritz

Not really. However, for plastic bases and heavy models, I texture my plastic bases by putting scratches on the bottoms. This solves any potential sliding.

It seems to be an issue with the 'plush' masts specifically.

Have you had any experience with this yourself and do you know of any solutions?

@@BearGrisham No clue. I think I contacted Cory Ring - owner - about this. I believe he might have said that was unusual, as it was their first go with the plush mats. I don't know if they fixed this, although you just got some. I am not sure what could be done to fix it. I recommend contacting them yourself and see what they say. Perhaps newer mats don't have this issue. ~Fritz

@@dashofelanwargaming4359 I just received a replacement and it’s the same issue so obviously a problem with the mat. Thanks for the reply and I’ll probably try something with one of the spare mats to see if I can salvage something 👍

They are okay.

Not business suicide if you're selling them a lot cheaper.

I suspect the loss of detail is down to softer plastic and cost cutting. Additionally these are made as starter sets and not for the detail end of the market. It's to get the Warhammer crowd in now that GW have pissed them off so royally.

@@I_Don_t_want_a_handle I dont have a money tree and I recently seen one GW figure ( Down Under AUD) was 26.00! I could buy a half a box of Napoleonics of24 for that rate or a Schnitzel and chips

@@Rusty_Gold85 GW stuff is way over-priced. I'm sorry to hear about your lack of a money tree. They have such lovely leaves ... 😀. My own has taken quite a beating recently, but I'd be willing to send you a cutting. Unfortunately they do not grow upside down!

They are not 15mm they are 13.5mm

@@horusheresy6949 Civ war stuff was 13.5, only line I could find that fit in with it was Kallistra 12mm stuff that was almost a perfect match. For this it is mixing well with my minifigs and Old Glory so far (based off 1 Cav Sprue). Their arty is too large to properly fit on the base making their guns LARGER than mini figs I am suspecting Warlords realized they needed to blend with other lines to get people who already had armies to buy into their stuff. If you already have hundreds of painted figs are you really going to buy into their line? Or are you going to just use what you have already? Also at 10 to 13 USD a sprue it is cheaper to buy some metal lines almost. I can get one of their infantry units and part of another, then toss in an arty for about 13. Or I can get 2 full units of Old Glory with command for 21 USD. But mind I am working with one Cav sprue and most lines tend to use smaller horses so that is why they may fit in so well. The plastic stuff is rather simple and unanimated compared to say Old Glory though. Worse comes to worse I can always trim off the riders and reuse the larger horses and arty pieces.

These were an early playtest set by the authors. I had the chance to play around with them. I think you might find them on any of the online forums for the game. Theye were also intended to be released within one of the campaign books post Overlord - not sure if that happened or not. Thanks for the comment, . :) ~Fritz
