The interesting thing is that I'm not. I've always been a metal guy first and foremost. I grew up with Savatage and Queensryche and Fates Warning. But I've always loved all the other melodic rock styles too. I still remember the first time I saw FM's video for "Bad Luck". I've loved that song ever since. Later I found the album and fell in love with Overland's voice, but I don't go back to FM regularly, while I have listened to some Savatage albums more times than I can count. Even later I started a melodic rock band, apart from my main metal band but making "human" music with real people has always been unpleasantly expensive with negligible returns. AI has finally given me a chance to explore all these styles freely and I can't be happier. Still, If you're curious, here are two videos from my "human" bands. It is. But I also use an external digital audio workstation which gives me much more control over the making of the song and I spent a lot of time crafting the songs in it. I don't just write a prompt and press a button and wait 30 seconds for the AI to generate something. Some songs from this channel took days to make. So it is AI but with a lot of human ""guidance"". Also I've been a musician (guitar player) for close to 30 years so I work on the arrangements, guiding the AI with vocal phrasing, lyric line length, etc.
