Cool. Not sure what that track was. Do you remember the title? Was it “Your Dream Is Not My scene”? I recently deleted that track. The song is from my album “Lisa Wants To Talk To You”

@@makeout5 Hi Gary. I really dig your music. I discovered your tunes browsing through "Stones Throw Records" catalogue of music. I really love the music on the compilation disc "Forgotten Lovers" through Motel Records. Can you tell me a little more about the music on this record? Was this recorded after your "You think you really know me" album?

Back when I first met Vince, late 1984 I think, he shared all the GW and Blind Dates music with me. This was my favorite. Some months later we were in a used record shop in Johnson City, and I pulled out a copy of Another Galaxy which became my favorite album. Wish I could relive those years.

Very nice. Vince was a good friend of mine. Always ready for an adventure. We met at a Lord Fuzz (my first band) show when we were 13 years old. We were both in 8th grade.

It sounds like that moment before a man becomes an incel or implodes from their own delusional arrogance. Like when someone obsesses and fantasizes over someone else and creates expectations so unrealistic that when it’s not met, it crushes them; a false sense of mutual connection. Then after this, they don’t understand what they did wrong and they continue to pursue them until they place all of the blame on them, not realizing that they’re the problem and continuing to do so makes it worse. Not to mention the creepy age gap of the character singing and the girl that he’s also completely oblivious of because he lives in his own world. I think it’s a reasonable interpretation. Or maybe I'm reading way too much into it lol. Either way, it’s an amazing song that effectively creates a smooth, seductive atmosphere while making you extremely uncomfortable. 😁👌
