@bplr2276 , outstanding! I saw your brother fly in one of the TOC's, he is an amazingly skilled pilot! Great video, I'm glad you guys shared it. It brings back many good memories of my old pattern flying days.

I can't believe all that noise those piylon planes make and today my V900 with a 1260kv motor and 3 cell lipo,I can fly much faster without all that equipment and noise.Just plug my batteries in and I'm flying 120 mph with an epo foam sport/pattern aircraft. How times have changed.Im also flying on 2048 resolution on 2.4 DSMX radios.

Amazing!! I was there! It was seemingly impossible at that time to get such a flat spin profile and still be able to fly out of it. This was a game changer for freestyle aerobatics.....the term "3D" didn't exist....then.

It is neat to see how the hobby has progressed. Two things jumped out. He was relatively high in the air and the roll rate was incredibly slow compared to today. I loved the up right flat spin to inverted flat spin.

I prefer this graceful style of 3dish flying verses the modern day "Spin and twirl the plane as fast as you can" style. I also prefer blues rock over speed metal. Going faster does mean your better.
