I can't believe no one has commented on this gorgeous song yet! It's one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard. Imagine someone singing those words to you...of course no one could ever sing them like Steve did with his beautiful, mellifluous voice. ❤❤

This probably some future Banke members. When Renee first hit there was no band. They had to be pieced together to make a touring band. I saw Rick Brand playing with The Spiders in Arden, DE, opening for the film A Hard Day's Night. That was 1966. When the band played John Wannemakers in Philly they had to play Day Tripper three times because they did not have enough material at the time.

Love this song; what a beat! Wish I had all the lyrics. Heartbroken that Steve's no longer with us.No other person has ever touched me the way he has. I hope that perfect, angelic voice which matches his beautiful, angelic face & heart is in Heaven with the LB making those lucky folks up there mesmerized with more incredible music. Praying to be with you someday. RIP precious. ✝️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Every once and awhile, I consider myself fortunate to come cross a piece of music that captivates every fiber of my being. This is one of those rare moments - and I have listened to this daily since discovering it after it was released. Brilliant in every way, these musicians have, in my view, created a timeless masterpiece. Thanks to all responsible for creating this and bringing it to light. 🙌🏻

This is one of those songs that just takes me somewhere. It's an indescribable place of magic and goosebumps that so few songs are able to take me, personally. I suppose that's just the power of music. Glad you enjoyed it!

@@poikapi062 Anyway thanks for this. I loved the album. Oddly enough, the only track I didn't care for was "Wham Bam" the only hit. Don't know about the musicians except drummer Harry Stinson. He now plays with Marty Stuart. He's played or sang on over 500 albums.

This two totally different voices. Don't be conned. By this I mean that this track is the same on the Band album, but the singer sounds different to the singer on the other album tracks. Something is not right. On the Band album the singer has a part Liverpuddlian/London Accent, but the Stuart Sutcliffe recording (including the version on the album) has a totally different voice.

The Boston Show Band lead singer has the exact same voice in most of the songs on the album, especially "Devil in disguise", which is a cover of another Elvis song released in...1963. So Stu could not have covered a song that would have been rleased 2 year after his death... So either "Love me Tender" is really Stu in 1961, and he also sang an Elvis song that was not even written yet, or it is an hoax. There is no debate: the music is the same on both versions (down to every guitar and drums fills!) and so is the voice, with the alledge Sutcliffe's rendition being slightly accelerated. Sad but true. If Stuart Sutcliffe could cover "Devil in disguise" in 1961 we can also look for a version of "Stairway to Heaven" by Buddy Holly.

And then came Swedes,Norsemen,Danish Vikings and a pesky Finn with record tiny budget invested in a totally nonsensical platform:a B-1 mopar in a Swinger! The fact remains that Scandinavians led by Swedish charge totally dominated the first World street cup in Orlando. Had it been that elderly Björn Cronqwist not sleeping in start,Swedes would ve won every class in that World Cup!American car culture in Sweden is something crazy, just look at recent Sick week held in Florida where fastest class was dominated by Swedes.Even here in Finland where I live ,we have and have had,a vibrant American car culture since mid 70 s.I bought a 1964 Malibu SS with 396 bbc and 4 speed back in 1992 and was addicted by street racing immediately.Malibu ran mid nines with 538 blown bbc(4.625 bore,4.00 stroke) whilst being street driven.Just pure enjoyment cruising in a blown big block Malibu setting off car alarms as you thundered by.

I had intentions of making this event. I had a 10.60 index 68 Chevelle that I added a 300hp N2O fogger to my 427 based 496. I was in the 8.90s at Carlsbad Raceway that summer. Had the car at RJ’s Race cars to update the cage. But I was still in the Navy and our deployment got moved up two months. I still regret missing it.

Cool. Had these videos on VHS. Ha. Those were the days when major grear heads built their own rides/ blocks with buddies.. Love watching these racing at the local drag strip. Got into muscle car as a kid back in the 70s. My older brother took me to one.. and I was hooked 😊 to this day. Funny.. Still have the VHS player in the garage. Ha.

Songs such as this would have made for a fine album, if only it could have happened. I sure would enjoy having a copy of this CD, but it may be too late now to locate one. Michael Brown's influence and sound comes through so well.
