My babydaughter also had is at 3 months of old, but she got antibiotics after 5-7 days when she had started to create anti-bodies , so she should be immune to it now.

I'm going through this same thing. They tested my 9month old little boy yesterday for this because he has such a bad cough. It's just horrible to watch there little faces as they have a bad coughing fit. My son has all his vaccines and has never been late not even once but the doctor said they can still get it. But he said it shouldn't be as bad and because if he does have it we caught it early enough for antibiotics.

What? Seriously, what? I need to correct your grammar, its not "no", it is "know". Please don't say "that baby hasn't got it" but instead try saying "the baby does not have it". And no, sir or ma'am, you are wrong. That is called a paroxysmal cough which is associated with Pertussis (aka Whooping Cough). The pattern means you cough, cough, cough, cough all of your air out and then the whooping sound is made when you take a sharp inspiration through an inflamed and enlarged larynx. I'm a pediatrician and yes that is what Pertussis sounds like. It is horrible and painful to even watch. I have intubated children with severe cases of this PREVENTABLE infection.
