No. I’m a DeBear to DeBoer fan. I’ve been through all the “in between” seasons. Those seasons with Perkins, Curry,Stallings, Dubose, The 3 Mikes and Saban first years were worse than DeBoers. 1929 is the last time an Alabama first year coach went 9-3.

Why would we need an oc. On multiple occasions milroe would miss wide open receivers. The scheme was not the issue. The issue was a first year head coach with a run first qb

@@trentoncleland6236Playcalling is indeed an issue. Yes we have a run first QB that would miss wide open guys. But a good OC would’ve actually built around him. I’d bet anything Ryan Grubb would’ve had our offense looking a lot like Vandy this season and we would’ve been completely unstoppable. It makes zero sense once a defense shuts down Milroes legs to start trying to throw the ball every play when you have absolute units at RB that’s been averaging 4-6 yards per carry the very few times you’ve handed off to them. There’s been multiple times Sheridan would call a designed HB run and jam and justice would get 8-10 yards, and instead of making the other team stop it, start trying to throw the ball with a running QB and kill the drive. If your RBs are getting the job done inside, keep feeding them and letting them eat. When the defense finally starts to stop them, that opens up Milroe to the outside. It’s not rocket science but for some reason Sheridan can’t figure it out

I’m explaining in simple terms here. Feed jam Miller and let him get 5-10 yards per play until he can’t. Which means they’ve loaded the box. When that happens you have the advantage to run Milroe off the edge. Again keep doing it until they stop it. When they do hand off to Miller again. With a running QB who can occasionally sometimes half way throw decent and horses at RB why passing the ball not the last resort? 2+2=4 bubba it always has and always will
