I'm digging the 6.5PRC. We had 3 down in Alabama between my son and me. Checked 4 deer in with them. All Tikkas but one has a Brux barrel. With the 2 Roughtechs we just used factory Norma Bondstrike but I used the Barnes 127 LRX factory ammo in the Brux barrel. Just didn't have time to handload for them with my other projects going on and the factory stuff was half MOA or better anyway.

Must be because you are promoting them, I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of money with American Reloading and I didn’t get no hat! 😂 happy new year man, I hope you had a good Christmas too!

It was good conversation and I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my message. The experience with American Reloading has been great. I preferred in a box of those CX as well cause that’s what I hunt with in the 6.5 PRC.

I use H1000 powder, 140 grain Nosler Accubonds, WLR primers and Peterson 6.5 prc brass. Shoots submoa all day everyday. 2976 fps velocities average on the Garmin chronograph. Works the same for my 6.5 nosler 140 grain partition handloads too Plan to start testing my 142 grain Nosler Accubond LR loads soon as well.

My Lyman case prep center shit itself a couple of weeks ago. Back to hand prepping brass for a while. Here in Australia, they've gone up above $500. Can't afford to replace it just yet. I can't count how many hours it's saved me over the years that I've had it.

IMR-4064 AND IMR-XBR-8208 For short barrels. The 7mm-08 is a great round, does great things. Don't over look the 120 gr bullets, they make this round shine.

Trijicon Accupoint 3x9, 13.4 oz, "1 tube, day light bright fiber optic green dot, no batteries, always on, self adjusts to ambient light, and great glass. They also make a very high quality "1 ring also, best 3x9 I have ever used, it's that good!

the 6arc does not beat a .243 win in any ballistics at all, even a 95 gr .243 out performs across the board a 6 arc firing a 103

I know this is an older video. I like the ram shot powders. I get pretty good velocities and accuracy with them. In my 30-06 I used ram shot hunter with a Speer btsp 165gr and I achieved 2951 fps and I was u see book max. Speer says max should be just under 3000 with the hunter powder. I ended up with a .40” group. Max does show a compressed load but I have my bullets seated long then they say so when I did finally finish loading to max the next range trip the load wasn’t compressed. Unfortunately my chrono wasn’t working so I didn’t get velocities . So I’m going to be heading back out to see what they were

No need to crimp if you are loading for a bolt action. I doubt the 350 has enough recoil to move bullets in the magazine. Try it without crimps and see if your accuracy improves.

You're just changing the neck dimension, so it's referred to simply "semi-wildcatting." Sinclair makes an exspander die with interchangeable mandrels for concentric neck sizing. I use the Sinclair exspander die for making 270 Winchester into 280 Ackley Improved and 30-06 Springfield - 308 Winchester into 338-06 A-Square - 338 Federal. Annealing is best after forming and before firing. If annealed before forming you will most likely collapse the shoulder. Personally I would use 308 Winchester and form it into 30 TC using Redding Imperial Sizing Wax.

I got the same rifle minus stock, used hammer bullets 125grain and magpro. Loaded to 3000 fps. One issue I have with this cartridge is it tends to cause hard bolt lift, low power reloads, factory ammo, all have hard bolt lift

Been wondering if the PRC is a worthy step up from the Creedmoor, given the reach and effectiveness of the Creed. Is it just more blast, more throat erosion, more recoil for perhaps unmeasurable effect on most game?
@alabamareloader
@alabamareloader 9 күн бұрын
@@exothermal.sprocket the advantage is increased velocity over tye creed using the same bullets which for me isn’t necessarily an advantage given my limited shot distance on game when hunting. If you need to extend your effective range on game then it’s definitely an advantage over the creed.
