TFS is great, but they have the advantage of hindsight. Toriyama was pioneering a relatively new genre, heck a lot of animes wouldn't exist without him. And a lot of things he had to improvise as well. As said, TFS had the advantage of hindsight, they know the already established story of Toriyama and written things around that. In a fantastic, great way, I love TFS, but their work is literally based on Toriyama, and also Toriyamas version was more epic. TFS is better in the way that they were able to fix things Toriyama couldn't correct or add things that fit into the world. They are basically very good modders, who improved the game. There, I fought you :D

Yeah, the guy was a monster taking into account how the series references that he only numbers his successful androids (or ciborgs i guess) which means that hundreds fell to his hands But it was really him, or he turning into an android fucked with his brain, in the episode comentary they mention that its posible that gero brain transfer to his ciborg body was far from perfect and may have caused issues

It wasn't until later that it was mentioned that his son was a member and that a lot of Gero's anger came from his death, and even then, it was specifically mentioned that Gevo died to an enemy bullet, ie just as a part of the normal operation of the RRA and not because of Goku.

Wow, so in a weird way they may have just unintentionally expand it on something that happened in the anime/manga, which technically make this thing canon to the actual anime/manga.
