No zay disrespect is tolerated. Just saw zay in Cincinnati for the cilvia demo 10 year anniversary. One of the best concerts I’ve been too. Also one of the best fan bases I have been around. Everytime a beat dropped the whole crowd was like YOOOOO THIS SONG??? But that was for every song. Never seen such a devout crowd. And zay came into the middle of the crowd and performed shit from 10 years ago. WTF WE TALKING ABOUT???

I just realized. I have been a fan of her (love LGC and Soda Blonde) for probably 10 years (I discovered them through the KEXP concert) and I've never heard her talk more than a short sentence and I didn't even recognize her voice. I listen mostly to the albums and the KEXP concert, and Stevie did most of the talking in that. I think the live video I've seen, she never talks. This is pretty weird haha

If anyone hasn’t seen a Vince interview, I strongly recommend his power 106 interview a few years ago on who the greatest rapper alive is. A pretty simple question but the way Vince approaches the question looking at how the caliber of artistry changes what we consider to truly be art and how we have to delineate art, fame, and commerce in music is truly one of the most thought shaping interviews I’ve watched ever. Dude is insanely smart

I wish those reciting “spoken word” would not have adopted an American cadence to their poetry. All modern/popular poetry need not be Slam Poetry with urban/rap/Black American influences. Stay true to your cultural roots.

Chap hop is personally my favorite music genre, i absolutely adore it's charm and silliness, it's not supposed to be anything more than just a fun thing that people randomly stumble upon. I also can't find any kind of music that gives off even a remotely similar vibe as chap hop does, it's just bloody lovely, with a style!
