This is a great and moving documentary of regular people, who decided to take a stand in what they believed in for the country they love. Their are many stories like this one but are censored by those in power. This happening right now throughout Latin America by foreign dictators supported by US corporations. (Noam Chomsky)

The Singapore leaders who made decision to force these ppl into exile has mistaken themselves as the "emperors" of Singapore. In their eyes, there can only be one version of Singapore and if your narrative is not within that version, then you are the enemy of the state.

A good documentary. But i really hate it when the people kept saying "democracy", which is very much a western imperial term today. The west always use the pretext of "democracy" to invade, regime-change countries. It is always "democracy" vs "autocracy". There are no real democracies in this world, including the western countries.

LKY sacrificed his life to build up Singapore. Without doubt he was sincere and dedicated in his mission. Could those opposition leaders achieve what LKY achieved? Or were they merely doing their job of opposing for the sake of opposing, obstructing LKY's vision? To criticize is easy but to deliver takes more than sweat and tears.

@@WaytoGo723 don't know what crime has to do with this. I thought, from your original statement , you are talking about freedom of choice. Maybe you can be more articulate. in 1965, population of spore was 1.5 million. LKY needed to solve education, defence, housing, employemt, Infrastructure problem. Freedom and democracy couldn't solve these problem. Today, all the above had been solved, how many people will fight for freedom and democracy, (western style?) if 60 to 80% of population voted for PAP for the passed 50's years, don't these people don't like freedom and Democracy? my personal point of view: LKY and PAP had done a good job. I would't mind sacrifice couple of dozen people if I need to take care of 5 million people's livelihood. when a few poeple killed, It is a tragic. when a few hundred thousand people killed, it is just a figure! ---- Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin

Nobody should be exile b'cos of political reason. At the end of the day how rich or how poor; whichever party you believe in their ideology & voted for; what position or a beggar like Lazarus & the rich man all will die & return to the dust & you cannot bring your riches, political party & position with you. You are dust & nothing! Your eternity is define by God; heaven or hell; all your hidden secret will all be exposed. Live right, do good & walk humbly with the Lord. Owe no man anything but to love him; everything else you will be accountable to God. No religion? There is the law of God & heaven. So who will win?
