Roller Derby was the match for "wrestling." Just an act and nothing "real" about it but it was an entertaining diversion for some just as the scripted wresting act was.

Can't call her D, she must be addressed as Lady D! Her basketball knowledge is legendary. She should be heard during the week on radio, not just the weekend.

This is great. I saw Ray Fosse play when he was with the Triple-A Portland Beavers. He was a wonderful ballplayer. Thank you.

Great interview. Thanks for posting. Love the Phanatic. One question for Phanatic's best friend... not that I want any changes, but have there been any plans made towards identifying Phanatic's next best friend? I'm just concerned about Phanatic continuity.

Chet and Bill, Congrats on PPBR's 10th Anniversary! Always enjoy listening to the show. It definitely says something about both of you when a classy, quality guy like Ray Didinger sings your praises.

I discovered them through Coverband Central and thought,”Stop the presses something big is going on here.” I’m very excited to watch them grow . There are no guarantees in the world of art but these guys really have all the boxes checked.

Bests sport headline in Chicago that year. In August the sox edged into first place on an Allen hr. "Allen's Socks put Allyn's Sox Into First Place".... John Allyn was the White Sox owner in 1972.

Gaylord Perry was 15-1 going into that game. He had a very average second half of the year. Chuck Tanner was a genius. Took a very average Sox team within 5 1/2 games of the As . 1972 was the first of 3 in a row world series. And Dick Allen came within a few batting percentage points of the triple crown. Awesome player. 1st player to sign a 3 year $225,000 contact...this was before free agency

I got to visit wmmr and wysp in 85 for a speech and media class trip I took in high school. I remember seeing Debbie in the studio live on the air and it was so cool! Over the years I called in many times to request noontime nugget songs, Debbie was always pleasant and I always enjoyed speaking with her. Her favourite Moody Blues song is 'The Story In Your Eyes' and she chose that one every time I requested The Moodies. That soul kitchen thing was halarious! I doubt she will remember 'the SJ Merle Watson' but I will always remember Debbie. Wishing all the best for her

I remember when Jayson Stark was a sports writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer and wrote a full-page “This Week in Baseball” - type article with information, anecdotes and amusing quotes - especially from Jayson’s favorite, former Pirates coach Rich Donnelly.

👍NM ...A WONDERFUL testimony of being born-again and presentation of a Gospel led life and the impact on a person's life who calls out to Jesus Christ for mercy, forgiveness and a new life for times such as these. I'm here because of the KCB movie on youtube. thank You.

The ball came off his bat like no other I have ever seen! Growing up in the fifties with all those second division years. Allen was the first black Phillies player of significance and he is a rookie 17 years after Jackie Robinson-almost two decades!

Love Judy Arnold. She was my roller derby queen. I used to sneak out of the house as a teenager to go to the roller derby in Wailuku, Maui in the late 60's to watch her skate with the Hawaiian Warriors at the War Memorial Gym. She's like 9 years my senior and my roller derby hero. I watch them skate against the New York Bombers, Texas Outlaws, LA T-birds, Chicago Hawks and others. You skated with some of the greatest also. I'm so glad I got to see the best of the best in my lifetime. I as well, just received my book, The Judy Arnold Story Derby Queen and are reading it right now. No one tougher and greater for sure. I'm glad she's now a minister and spreading the gospel even on skates. 💖
