So I see you have a 40 gallon which is the bare minimum, however, just because it’s the bare minimum doesn’t mean that your hamster will be happy, especially a Syrian hamster. Aside from that, you can really fill it out more. I had a 40 gallon too and I filled it out the best I could. Also you need to pack down the bedding so it will hold burrows. And that causes shrinkage so after you pack it down then add more bedding on top, which you also pack down. You should also add a sand bath and other enriching things like seed sprays and other herbs and flowers. Another tip for enrichment is simply scattering the food around so it can forage for it. Also that food mix is really boring and bland, instead you should use a seed mix that has a larger variety. He/she will be much happier that way. You hamster is so cute btw! ❤
