Mein Schirm-Modell 😘 Wäre aber ganz toll, wenn "EuroSchirm Eberhard Göbel" + "birdiepal" sich mal einen modernen internationalen Markennamen zulegen würde. Sowas in der Richtung "Stormshield" oder so... und natürlich wäre es noch viel interessanter zu sehen, wie sich der Schirm verhält, wenn der Wind wie in der Realität meistens von der Seite kommt. Aber alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden. Wir kaufen seit Jahren nur birdiepal-Schirme.

Also bei den Preisen für die Schirme (ich habe schon mehrere erworben) sollte man wenigstens ein RODE-Bluetooth-Mikro verwenden oder nach draußen gehen können ;)

Do another test where you keep increasing the wind pressure till it obliterates the thing to shreds and record the maximum wind pressure. I think your umbrella could take more licks. I would love to see that video.

I got the UV one. I'm a bit worried about the sun when hiking in the mountains and this will protect me without the need for sticky sunscreen on my skin.

Perhaps it is better to make one that attaches to the point of a hiking pole. In that way, the umbrella fabric does not get damaged when the hiking pole drags through bushes and it keeps the hiking pole lighter.

I would really like a way to attach this to a trekking pole for a temporary shelter I can sit under. It would be ideal for the larger model, with two guy lines staked to the ground.

Hi Jarmo, Thank you very much for your feedback. In this case, the test results would be even better. However, in order to adhere to a certain test standard, only the stability of the umbrellas in frontal wind direction is usually tested.

How do I attach it to my backpack?

When folded you can attach the umbrella in the sleeve case somewhere on the backpack by using the carabiner. But this item is now handsfree umbrella and can not be attached to any backpack to wear it handsfree. You can find our handsfree models on www.euroschirm.com, but they came as stick umbrellas and not as foldable umbrellas.

Ich habe den Schirm aber mit anderer Befestigung. Ich weiß immer noch nicht wie ich den befestigen kann. 2 Schlingen und ein Klettband um den Schirmstiel einzuklippen. Vermutlich am Gürtel? Oder nehme ich den mitgelieferten Sack dazu?

Ah, Lösung gefunden! Man führt die untere Schlaufe, die sich am Griff des Schiems befindet, einfach durch den Beckengurt des Rucksacks und zieht sie fest. 😅
