As a Polish guy living in Bali (I have an Indonesian wife) I always had this theory that the only reason that North-West, Eastern's (more recently) EU economies function a bit better is that basically people have nothing better to do there than work. It kind of translates to the numbers if you look at the last 20 years. The problem is; if you look at suicide rates, it starts looking like workaholism is not an ultimate answear. I'm sure that with all the experiences accrued during your time in the tropical countres will allow you to find those important pockets of time to enjoy life. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

I had the same thought man. I've lived in Asia for around 3 years and there's many times I'm just outside, laying on the beach and there's that thought of "Now what?" "Is this all I'm going to do for the rest of my life?" If you make a few thousand dollars per month, you've practically already retired and it can feel very disorienting when you're young. I moved back to Europe for a year but it's honestly been an eye opener that life here sucks even more. So I'm planning to go back to Asia very soon.

hahah I am glad I see Slovakia here but guys, with all due respect to the country I was born in, There is no reasonable argument why foreigner should move there. It is not cheap at all, we have almost the most expensive groceries in the EU.
