Sir, MY QUESTION IS--If trader was trading forex pair to hold for average duration of 3 days what time frame should be used for TREND DIRECTION?--IS IT 4 H CHART? Traders biggest enemy is trend flipping on A dime(e.g. 1H/lower times frame trend).Trend on 4H chart may be the best trend guide for majority of forex traders.. By the time trader confirms that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 5-7 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start.Trend based on the last 10--15,four H candles has enough big players/juice/force behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced asset to lose again. Your wisdom/experience please?

@@TheChartistAU Thanks Nick for replying. Btw Your new 'free' course brings a lot of clarity. Thanks for helping people who cant afford in this time of need. What is your course of action if lets say your multiple strategies go into a drawdown simultaneously, then do you decrease risk equally across the board or its a selective risk decrease based upon strategy historic performance?

Hi Nick, is there a funding minimum limit for accounts of members? Thank you.
@TheChartistAU
@TheChartistAU 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ivan, we don't set limits but we make recommendations for each strategy. For example we say that it is best to trade the Growth Portfolio with minimum of $30,000 to avoid commission drag. If you do a free trial membership, each strategy has Instructions. Recommended account size is listed in the Instructions. www.thechartist.com.au/Benefits/two-week-trial/

But how does one know one's system is even profitable in the first place? Please don't say back-testing.
@TheChartistAU
@TheChartistAU 4 жыл бұрын
OK - we'll say 'testing' then. When you design a trading strategy you run multiple tests including Monte Carlo simulations to test the profitability of the strategy.
