The "spork" is also very dangerous. You didn't realize there was a knife in the handle. Imagine if you were holding it incorrectly and pulled it apart. You could slice your finger off if you didn't know there was a hidden knife in the handle.

I picked one if these up the other day and my bail was just fine and my rooster tail was also working. Seems like youve got a defective or used product. Its a 6'6" medium action rod. But id call it a light/medium. Ive always been an ugly stick user but switched go telescopic a few years ago. I own 5 of them now including this one. For $20 its the best casting rod ive owned as far as telescopic rods are concerned.

I have one of those types of survival shovel. Yours looks larger with different shaped handle tools. Mine has the same functions on the shovel head. Mine has screwdriver bits, ferro rod, whistle, a compass, a kinda of a knife/saw & window breaker. I added some flat extras to the pouch. A flat fixed blade knife, a flat sharpener, a good hank of paracord and that camo ace bandage wrap. What you'll find from reviews is that the handle parts tend to unscrew/loosen as you dig or chop. So adding a wrap or duct tape will prevent loosening while you work with it. This is a great kit to have in your vehicle. 5 more subs to 1000, congratulations.

I'm 71 so I won't be doing any camping intentionally. I don't need to have the best of everything. I would want a reliable compass and would spend more to get one.I need emergency pack just as the word implies. I still go Fly Fishing alone so it's wise to take along both First Aid and Survival Kit just in case. Fire starters are also wise to spend for. A good Swiss Army knife or Multi Tool is a must and I have an great Bowie Knife I always wear when I'm out in the elements. Add a worthwhile folding saw and canteen and your pretty well set. The survival blanket also wise to have. One finial must have not often mentioned or that gets overlooked is insect repellent! Get a good one! Don't trust cheap.
