Wow Sarah this is a wonderful skit. I don't know why others haven't tuned into your channel I'm going to tell others to watch this. very young Stan Laurel. Got to say no he seemingly looks drunk at the end of the skit he surely picked up a got a lot of energy after that short nap in bed with another man LOL.. that chased seen with that jealous husband is so funny. .. it's very funny. Yes that kiss on the cop cheek is really cute.. The cop was so considerate so thoughtful his empathy for Stan seeing so drunk or having a bad case of vertigo or spacing out on a drug whatever the cop was so wonderful. I really appreciated the cop helping Stan. I wish there were more cops like that. Sadly the couple lost his patients trying to get Stan to stay in bed. That was so funny having a go into one door and out the other and especially into that clothes shoot that was hilarious. That cop was was such a mench. And then getting caught in bed with another man that's a hoot after the guy was touching his face and his hands. And then waking up with those heavy eyebrows squinted together looking mad or angry. And that running fiasco up and down the stairs. Then that fire escape, man that's so much energy expended by both the older man and Stan on those stairs and then jumping off..That was all so funny to watch.. The clip just never seems that want to end. It kept getting more and more complicated and funny.. Thank you for posting these Sarah take care stay safe during these crazy health crisis times best wishes for a more livable and saner New Year

Interesting to see Stan Laurel use the white face makeup like Marcel Marceau did with his pantomime back in the '50s and '60s.. I don't know it seems to do the trick to get people's attention. I think their face expressions show up better in white face. what do you think? Thanks for the video 19 24 wow two years after my mother was born..

If it wasn't for Hal Roach Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy probably wouldn't have teamed up then we would've lost out on the best comedy duo of all time.

Hi Behrouz, are you saying solo clip with Stan Laurel as much different than Stan working together with Hardy.. This was like a early early video clip a good 8 years before he hooked up with Oliver Hardy. Stan looks so young a typical young English guy.. it was just very drunk I had vertigo. Here he didn't have that dumb look on his face as he had in the later years movies with Oliver.. Thanks take care stay well during this crazy pandemic for you and your family take care good luck for next new year

The plot description here is from Stan Laurel's "The Egg" (1922), made a year earlier. Many of the sight gags are recycled from "The Egg" to "The Noon Whistle", including the scene with the lockers.
