What are the approximate proportions of oil, beeswax, to tincture ?
@skellybynature23834 ай бұрын
I explain it in the beginning of the video. I used 1/2 cup of beeswax, 1 cup of wild lettuce tincture and 1 cup of Grapeseed oil. After you make it once you can adjust how you want it. If you need more pain med then use more tincture. Let me know how it works for you.

Get some new bags dude, those a clogged. It shouldn't take nearly as long as it took to drain at the 27:00 mark. You only got that much yield from a 1/4 or 1/2 lb?

@@fragelicious when I did the video it was meant to show a few newbies that ask for it. I wasn't using sugar leaf either. It was a bag of fan leaves that were cut early flower. So I wasn't even expecting that much.

Where are you located? You're wearing a pats shirt so I'm guessing NE? I would love to try the salve. I have lots of wild lettuce and want to make tincture and salve. I have questions about using the milky stuff too. Things no one seems to address. I hope you can/will respond. Tks much
@skellybynature23835 ай бұрын
I'm just north of Boston. So yes huge pats fan. So what do you mean by using the milky stuff? That is the part that is the medicine. You can use the lactucarium directly on your skin but its a lot easier to make the salve.
@nancyallard56585 ай бұрын
@skellybynature2383 I'm confused, mainly from watching so many videos, everyone's technique is different. I want to make salve primarily for pain. Sciatica, neuropathy, bone pain. It seems people don't stress using the stem and the milky part. Or how to extract as much of that part as possible to include it. I thought that was the "gold," so to speak. I also don't understand the ratio or "weighing" aspect some folks speak of in some videos. And the drying aspect of the leaves. Can it be done without drying the leaves. SO many questions. I so want to do this! I'm also N of Boston👍Andover

@skellybynature2383 I'm pretty sure that was the video I did watch. Is there more than one. If not, I still have questions.
@skellybynature23835 ай бұрын
Yes there is a video where I show you how to use the stalk and leaves to make a tincture. That is how you extract the milk from the plant. Then you use that tincture to make the salve or you can use the tincture by itself
