I love the Buffalo National River and feel blessed to have experienced the River, the trails, and the wonderful feeling I have when I visit there. What a special, majestic place❤️

I give a prayer of thanks for Dr. Compton every time i head out to the Buffalo. While i do enjoy my White River reservoirs, what a crime it would have been to drown this place.

I just with the fishing was better than I've experienced on the Buffalo. The scenery is amazing and some of the best you can see while floating. I saved many people one float trip from a fallen tree that covered the whole river. It was one in which could take a persons life getting jammed underwater, with the type of current on that day. It wasn't surprising that many people weren't willing to help others from getting in a dangerous situation. They just watched as people headed for danger. This was on the middle upper section, which I don't recommend for new floaters for most of the year. The lower sections is one for most floaters.

I live in the north Georgia mountains. 99.9% of fish that size are on private heavily stocked catch and release sections. It’s pretty rare you’ll catch any that size on public waters here. Probably 99% of the trout you catch will be around 10” stockers. This video is misleading 😂😂😂

Loved this film, reminded me of when I got hooked on fly fishing, which was when I lived in Jackson Hole :)

I like the fact you are able to paint the fish you and others catch that is amazing...I remember when i first started fly fishing and tying my own flys and having a few thoughts One being it is an art and tying flies is like doing arts & crafts.... # 2 I think it would be a more appealling way of fishing for women to enjjoy

Lived in GA and fished these areas a lot. Video is awesome but definitely misleading. These are private waters with stocked trout that are on feeders and stay in certain areas. When you fish the public areas, you’re back to catching normal size trout, 8-12 inches. The real trophy is getting the few wild rainbows and native brookies to eat. They are small but the colors will blow your mind.

We are just an hour or so way and make a couple of trips each year. We are very lucky to live so close. One of my favorite things to do is to visit Boxley Valley at sun rise to see the Elk Herd in the mist. So many gorgeous hikes in the area and spring waterfalls... it is a gift. This video is great, but as great as this video is, I don't believe it does justice to the actual beauty of a visit.

Awesome video. I love hearing what this passion dose for people. It connects me to my father I lost at a young age. Every time I scoop a trout out of the water, I can feel him right next to me.

They dredged out a section of the spring-fed creek that holds them, so they’ve been naturally reproducing there forever, but normally smaller in size. They grew with more space.
