This kind of music makes me realize that one day I’ll (though “I’ll” will not apply) one day never hear music again, and I truly pre-mourn that fact, and I’m saying this because this is a perfect example of why that is a predominant aspect of death that hurts me - to lose the amazing art we have created, beautiful music that transcends as well as reflects our collective spirit and dreams. It is worth being healthier to stay longer, it is worth existing even with nobody and living in a homeless shelter- which I do- all the more with access to music such as this, openlibrary, all our amazing cinema, access to public piano’s - just- thank fuck for art, and nonetheless I’ll be listening to this on repeat for the rest of my life.

I heard this song for the first time 3 days ago. It had been chosen as the closing song of a very gripping documentary about the falsification of our history and it went very well with it. I was immediately captivated by this work. So much feeling and perfection at the same time. Pure beauty in its essence. It's like listening to angels or the universe itself singing. I can feel it right down to my spinal cord. In these 3 days I have listened to it at least 80 times and it moves me to tears every time. I am grateful that I was lucky enough to get to know this masterpiece. Tantissimi complimenti per l'esecuzione. Vi adoro. 🥹🙌🏼🙏🏼❤

Хубаво пеят момичетата,отлични вокалистки,няма дума.Обаче гласовете им са съвсем земни,няма нищо космично.За съжаление репертоарът им е еднообразен,няма го българският темперамент,няма огън.

The amount of self-righteousness on comments... my god. It's ok to discover this is 2024, it's ok to know it since 1987. There's also Bulgarians who know of this since it's birth, and they're not trying to brag. Instead, they're happy and grateful. In conclusion: Shut the F up, and let people enjoy world culture.

You have to know that a special „technique“ is needed to sing like this. Bulgarian folklore singing technique was passed on from mother to daughter in the countryside. This is also the „secret“ of the Bulgarian voices. Others simply speak of the „most beautiful songs in the world.“ It is interesting that with this singing technique they can create incredibly complex-beautiful chords, which, despite cultural differences worldwide, are perceived as „beautiful, poignant“ or simply impress emotionally.

Челебийче in Bulgarian, no "n". Like turbozmei said, it's a diminutive of chelebi (челеби).

there is just so many things that keep on making my jaw drop at every listen like: 0:11 the subtle but powerful arrival of the baseline of chello blending so effortlessly with the melody of the singers 0:19 the whimsical melody adding to the background adding such ethereal and fantastic feel to it all 0:34 the sudden switch of the tempo and intensity of volume before it all starts coming back with the almost a-capella harmony 0:46 the second section of the choir setting up the pace with the note jumps at the ends of each line! 1:00 her. i see her in every video from this concert giving it her absolute all and i just cannot get over how beautiful her voice is 1:27 the lengthiness by with the intensity starts increasing rising up literal goosebumps to my skin! 1:36 again. her. 1:55 the millisecond pause before the industrial of the main melody comes back!!! 2:08 the power of the full chorus!

Yes, I agree with all your points. Gancho Gavazov is truly talented. I also love the opposition of the classical instruments to the Bulgarian throat singing. It creates overall an energy that gives me goosebumps if done right.

A valiant effort, but western music cannot tame Bulgarian folk music with its wild eastern flare. And I don't even want to know how long it took that poor music conductor to figure out how to lead that choir. 🤣

😉 this made me chuckle but just to take the opportunity to praise him. In this case though, the conductor Gancho Gavazov comes from folklore background. He's a teacher in the biggest folklore high school in Bulgaria and has worked on a lot of choir adaptations. He's very talented in my opinion.
