@@-bubuliintothebeyond-6158 How long did it take you to be able to read Japanese at a decent level? just wondering because I want to know how long it realistically takes to be able to read, lets say a shonen manga
@-bubuliintothebeyond-61586 ай бұрын
@@TehFinalBoss I’m still not perfect by any means, but a lot of shonen manga has furigana which is how to read kanji. If I’m reading a book like that, I’d say maybe 2 years? If it’s mostly kanji, I have to look up a lot of words so I can’t read those without help yet. 😭 once you can read hiragana and katakana, a lot of it is memorizing vocab!

Viz Media announced they licensed After God, so maybe I'll pick it up when it comes out. And the cover is very pretty! My Japanese is barely good enough to get me through Chi's Sweet Home in Japanese, but hopefully one day I'll be able to read all these more complicated manga in Japanese. Are there any of the manga you showed you think would be not too hard for beginner, that are not children's manga?
@-bubuliintothebeyond-61587 ай бұрын
Really?! That’s awesome! I finally started reading more of After God and am really enjoying it a lot! Hmm i think Shojo is pretty easy to read (for example, Horimiya or In the Clear Moonlit Dusk) cuz the Japanese is daily standard with no complicated magical or military style words. If your not into shojo I thought Tokyo Revengers in Japanese wasn’t that hard to read along with Noragami or Spy X Family!
@_Lada_7 ай бұрын
@@-bubuliintothebeyond-6158 Yeah, it's supposed to come out in Fall I believe. I do enjoy shojo, I'll try some of these out, thanks! :)

Yea I’m a kiwi in New Zealand. Love your videos. I’ve applied for the JET Programme. Hoping to get interview this January. I currently work two jobs one as a first aid instructor (20hours a week) and one at a Hospital (20hours a week). I really like the idea to go teach English in Japan. I originally had job offers from Borderlink as an ALT but turn them down because the pay was too low, (some months you didn’t get paid either). It would be awesome if you could do a video liked talkingabout the yearly 1 year contract renewals. Not many people talk about this. This is why I’m also very hesitant to apply for teaching English jobs (in general). Your contract may not be renewed but you still have rent to pay. In New Zealand both my jobs are guaranteed. Anyways awesome videos. Keep it up/

Do you have any plans what you will do after your JET programme ends? I'm thinking about it and I would like to become a 3D artist in Japan after I finish JET (assuming I get in lol), but I got no idea if I would need to then change my visa to a highly skilled professional or not, and if so would I even qualify for it. So many questions, life is sure gonna get exciting soon haha, I just graduated from masters soI'm finally free, time to start living, first stop Japan :)

That’s so great good for you! I’m still figuring that out tbh, but I’m think I’m gonna go back to school in the states to get my masters 😂 from there not sure. But if you do get a job here in that field I’m sure the company would be able to fix your visa to what it needs to be! Companies here seem to be pretty good about that stuff so I hope you don’t need to worry! Good luck! 👍🥰

That weird corner window by the vanity is interesting. So much storage space though. I use a space heater too because heating my whole apartment is a waste of money when I'm just sleeping in my room. So I know the aiming the tiny space heater just right scenario. I actually have mine elevated on top of something so the heat blows more directly my way.
