That looks so damn uncomfortable. Spade but are bad anyway. Correction bits are okay if at the right height. But those long spade ones go up too high.

That is the first time I ever heard or even seen that. That does not seem right. I haven't seen itcdone to any other hourse.

Baloney. You say it’s not meant to be overnight but I’ve seen horses hobbled for days on end. Their legs rubbed raw and bleeding. No. Hard no. Tie them in a spot where they can graze and drink or take them back to the barn and grab your truck
@hackermusic3355Ай бұрын
Maybe that’s why he specifically said not to do that. SMH.
@Kingdom-seeker12 күн бұрын
Isn't that exactly why he said its not ment to be done for a long time?

Some of those cowhorse bits run anywhere from $400 to over a grand. What he’s talking about is a luxury, not a necessity. It’s perfectly reasonable to own a horse but not want to throw out that much money over something like a bit when there are cheaper alternatives.

I've switched to using ely cattleman shirts. They're like $23 a shirt and are some of the most comfortable I've ever worn. They have held up nice
@coltenbaumgarth6780Ай бұрын
I agree. They’re pretty good shirts. Use ‘em when I’m doing all sorts of stuff from cowboying, to shoeing, to building fence, and they’re nice enough to wear to town too
@danemoore2302Ай бұрын
@coltenbaumgarth6780 yep same story with me. I get the L talls so they don't come untucked. I'm a farrier as well so that's a big + for me.

I've had good luck retreating mine with the Ray Holes Vaquero Rawhide cream. Same idea, just coat it, but then I like to coil it up and put it in the oven at the lowest temperature and leave it for 20ish minutes till it looks shiny and like it's "sweating". Soaks it up nicely and feels almost new.
