Absolutely love mine it's pure quality, the only niggle I have is the way it arrived from the factory in a square box all twisted up, it took me about an hour to manipulate it back to what it should look like, apart from that it's the best rod holdall I've ever had, like you said it holds a lot more than you would think, great review once again keep the vids coming 👍

Hi Ray I just bought one of these . I cannot for the life of me see the space you talk about . I only carry 11 fr pellet waggler and 1 11 ft feeder . Separated by the divider in the bigger compartment I cannot get my 60” Preston brolly in that pocket no chance so it goes outside I use a feeder arm that is only about 24” a 2 metre pole and that it it’s bursting at the seams snd I have to use the flex in the bag to close it . Did you really have all that you said in that pocket I cannot fathom how you did it

How many sections are there in the 14.4 metre version.
@robertmedzai8163 Жыл бұрын
Ray i agree with you about it being good BUT THE PRICE IS OVER THE TOP WELL AND TRULY . I calculated that if I bought the gear I needed it came to £369.00 and for that price I could buy twice as much luggage for the same price from MAP or Drennan.

Really need to see the rod in action. i.e. what does it look like when casting and playing fish. How soft is that tip section with 2-3 lb bream? I don't know because I couldn't see the rod. Would have been a great opportunity to provide live action for this rod.
@UnstoppableNick693 жыл бұрын
It looks amazing but for traveling with a plane that thing will stand no chance to the way those animals handle luggage and at the end of the flight the rods will be broken or damaged. Anyway it is the best looking rod case/holder I've seen.

Great down-to-earth, real world review. I’ll be using mine on the beach but all the same principles apply. Btw, I wonder how many bites you missed while doing everyone’s lunch. 😂

Can anyone shed some light on the easiest way to put the poles together? I find the last 2 twist an turn like there's no tomorrow to avoid being put together, is there an order the poles should be assembled? Cheers

Hi! I think in a rod test, besides of specifications, you must show to action of the rod. I didn't see it...

I really don't think match fishing venues should have Lilley pads in them or if they do should be in an area anglers cannot fish as let's be honest it's not fair firstly on the fish and us anglers can and do get caught up in them! Just my opinion 👍

Where abouts is the actual boat at the top of the feature finding screen in relation to the read out on the bottom ?
@Stuartyh75 жыл бұрын
The feed comes from the right side of the screen. So the right side of the screen is directly under the boat.

Like anything they have their uses like to see you cast 150 yards accurately and deliver bait or get a livebait out at distance like anything has its use

I have owned the original XRS Trilogy for two years and it has taken Tench to over 9lb and Carp over 19lb from snag filled swims. I have had a play with the new model side by side with mine and it is a little stiffer. After much soul searching I didn’t buy it on cost grounds but I’m gradually buying new sections one at a time as they all fit my pole. If you want THE best long margin pole this is it and relatively cheap too with great spares back up. Buy one now!
@adeonfire6 жыл бұрын
Good honest review by Besty .I've had the original Xrs back in 1994 ,then the Xrs venom ,then the 2K4 margin/long pole followed by the 1st trilogy. All of them have been good strong poles,but lose their rigidity after 10.6 mtrs. The trilogy 2 can be used at 12.2 all day for hauling lumps .I have 4 tops with mine with red hydro being the lightest elastic I use in 2 of the top kits .
@neilwatt54976 жыл бұрын
I have to say that is a one off.A great rare post of a decent cameraman showing a few actual bites! Good viewing.
@neilwatt54976 жыл бұрын
I have to admit that the word on the match scene is tri-cast poles are all pretty strong no matter what model. There is not a 16 metre pole which is poker straight and I think most people know this. I do own a old tri-cast fibreglass 12 meter pole which is perfect for margin lumps and I still have it in my holdall just for certain situations. Good demonstration fella.
