I did this on my 1988 350 and it would start for a second and shut off, so I tried what you said and it worked just fine and it’s like 20 degrees out

I get E4 constantly, even when I move stuff around it gets stuck in the rinse and spin E4. I even done the tub clean with a empty washer and again got stuck in one cycle E4 constantly. Mine doesn't even have to be off balance to give the code.

I just put in a claim last week and today called in to give the 500 deposit and they’re sending out a new one today. Mine started building air when airing out it would hit zero and start building air again on one side. The front passenger sometimes when airing out would stop like 85psi and I would have to push that side to go down. 2 years without issues till now.

I get this E4 error all the time. I know its the imbalance thing, but its totally a dumb thing to deal with. I tried to wash 1 nike hoodie for my son. Got E4, so I put in a white bath towel on the opposite side to balance it. Same thing. Set the water level to low, tried just drain and spin. Nothing works. The only solution is to fill the tub up to 80%+ capacity, otherwise anything below a full load causes E4. I did notice inside the tub if you look and push it to side, there are little foam type pads on the side that are supposed to absorb the tub hitting it. One is worn down and falling off. I think it has no shock absorbtion or something, so it errors out. I am thinking about finding some foam pads and sticking them around the perimeter and see if that helps absorb the tub hits and keep it more balanced. This washer and dryer combo stinks. The dryer always leaves the clothes almost damp, requiring a 2nd dry cycle and the washer E4's way too often. My next washer and dryer might be one of those combo all in 1 type. I tried one at a vacation hotel we went to and it was amazing to wash and dry it all from 1 machine.
