How do you control the charging on the mems grid?
@Protochips
@Protochips 2 ай бұрын
There are many things you can do to prevent charging, including changing your dose, being mindful of using imaging mode and using low magnifications. If you have more questions, or would like a more in depth discussion, feel free to contact our support email address!

How can I use this method if my tip is coming from back side of sem column? In your case it is coming exactly parallel to ion column.

I've heard of this before an was just thinking about it. So for it to be gold two particals need to fuse together but by itself gold is a white power and if its in a pressurized environment not sure what the pressure needs to be and a heat source not sure them temperature but after all that it will disappear to another place or become translucent

This video succinctly and beautifully showcases the capabilities of AXON, whether or not in situ experiments are conducted on the S/TEM. For the in situ experiments, the drift correction - whatever the source - is shown to be very effective even in high resolution imaging. The AXON notebook and the ability to not only record the images but to also record all the metadata, combined with the ability to review the results rapidly, fully and frame by frame, along with all the experimental parameters, including the instrumental parameters, will make the S/TEM a far more useful, high throughput instrument than ever before. And finally, with the increasing need to make research data available to other reasearchers, the AXON notebook will make this task far easier, particularly if it is integrated with databases such as the NIST microstructure database. The video is just excellent and should make every S/TEM researcher want to have AXON on their instrument.

Actually, what you are looking at is the interference pattern of the exiting electron waves that interfere in the image plane of the microscope! However, a lot of the structural details of the sample are contained in the phase information of the electron waves, so many of the same periodicities observed in the HRTEM image are closely related to real-space interplanar distances!
