i haven't seen this movie myself, but i read the original book. i'm not totally sure what to think of it--i'm planning to reread it someday--but the author did a great job creating an uneasy atmosphere throughout. because of that, i don't quite like the "straight horror" feel that this trailer gets across, feels too much like a departure from the tone of the book.

I haven't watched this in quite a while. I wanted to recently but wondered if it would lose a lot of its mystery and charm given the evolution of the name "Karen "

It's a terrible movie. They did a shame to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series. Rating 1 Star. It's very far from its subject... Anyway. I added the chronological order of the movies. 1- Three on a Meathook 1972. 2- Deranged 1974. 3- The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 1974. 4- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ll 1986. 5- Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III 1990. 6- The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1995. 7- Ed Gein 2000. 8- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003. 9- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning 2006. 10- Texas Chainsaw 3D 2013. 11- Leatherface 2017. 12- Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022. For Video. 1- All American Massacre 2000. 2- Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield 2007. 3- Butcher Boys 2012..

I was 18 when it aired and now I watch it every October at age 41. Directed by Craig Baxley, who also was behind Storm of the Century and Kingdom Hospital. All great and worth revisiting.
