It still sucks that the Liberty Belle is being permanently removed, but I do hope the bridge stays. If anything they could keep the riverboat as a static display.

I'm not worried about the liberty belle. I have no doubt that it will be repurposed out in bay lake. I sincerely hope they keep the bridge too.

This is a fairly predictable catch on this line; always west midday with the first half of the train international containers and the second half domestic with mid-train DPUs. It's also usually the last train for several hours.

Good clip, Foxy. This area is getting pretty scuzzy, though--those homeless are everywhere.

Yeah it's a always sad sight seeing people living alongside train tracks. I always make sure to edit people out of my videos to respect their privacy.

Wow. Not very often would one see a lone foreign unit run on that Alhambra sub. Nice video catch!

Thought I saw someone filming. You have a ponytail, no? I was viewing this train from El Pavo.

Yes! When I walked up there, I left my camera in the car.

I love the zoom view in the beginning; you get to see all the way to El Monte and the Arden crossing.

Awesome! I recognize that crossing. You're at Lower Azusa. In the mid 70's I used to walk to Rosemead High along the tracks. Every once in awhile I'd get lucky and watch train 1 roll by. In those days SDP40F's were hauling the train along with Santa Fe High Levels and the rest of low level diner and sleepers.

Ah yes. Just saw the video. Sometimes I check the Amtrak train tracker to see if the train is coming late. It's great to catch it in the daytime like it was pre 2011.

A reliably slow line; midday is a graveyard.

Encinita crossing, nice grab. Glad someone is filming Alhambra. The eastbound Z train is a fairly reliable catch in the morning.

Oh yes. It's rather frustrating as this line is not very busy, the east bound morning trains are the only reliable catches!

@@C.Q_Wilkenson No kidding. You get this, a few intermodals throughout the day and into rush hour, and the two Amtraks. The L.A. Subdivision, however, is extremely busy.

Many thanks! Also any advice on what times these trains pass through. So far for me it's just been luck.
