One thing to consider is if you are using the 500-2000 size reels more for ultra light finesse fishing then usually you will be using a light enough test line that will fail or break before the maximum drag on the reel will be what causes a problem.

Love it Casey! As always, great tips. This is excellent advice for veteran as well as new anglers. I've spent years fine tuning my tackle and how to most efficiently pack and carry it. We, as anglers, far too often keep and carry WAY too much gear. I believe keepin it simple catches more fish.

Very tip heavy rods that don't have ceramic guides, but there are a couple gems in the series imo... *GX2* 6'6" Light Action Spinning (2pc.) - Great multi species rod 6'6" Medium Action Casting (1pc.) - Good budget bass rod *Ugly Stik Lite* 7' 0" Medium Light Spinning (1pc.) - Great multi species rod

Nice deck for your boat! My wife and I have been looking at getting a couple of these boats for lake bass fishing. I've been wondering if you have had any issues with water getting into the inner parts of the boat? I've seen a few videos that question the construction of the boat and how it can leak and the inner foam getting water logged. Have you had any issues with this? I've subscribed and watched most of your videos but have not seen one where you talk about the construction and durability of your boat. Have you had any issues or noticed anything about the boat that is questionable? Thanks for making these videos and keep up the great work.

I’ve drilled quite a few holes in the boat, but haven’t had any leaks. That marine sealant is so clutch, I’ve put it on every hole
@monzsterman10 күн бұрын
I have a Quest Angler 10 and have the problem you are describing. I have heard people with Pelicans having the same issue. How water gets in this area I have no idea. The fix is to install drain plugs in the back of the boat. You can do a search on KZbin. I also have a video on my channel doing this.
@humbugvideos10 күн бұрын
@@monzsterman Interesting guys, I didn’t know this was such a big problem. I have considered making a video talking about the durability, but may wait a little longer so that I can do some type of “3 years later” type thing. All I can say is that every hole needs to be sealed well!

@@humbugvideossome people say the water gets in around the black band that goes around the two halves but I have a decent water line on my boat and know this can't be happening. I found this issue the first time taking my boat out before any mods. When pulling it out the truck I could hear water sloshing inside the boat. Crazy.
