Hi thks for sharing love yr videos but this one just confused me,with the harddrive and merge, are those essential
@SayItWithSimplicity
@SayItWithSimplicity 10 ай бұрын
Hi Jasmine! Thanks for watching. No, you don't have to send it to your harddrive or merge it. I was simply demonstrating saving the design(s) and bringing it back to Silhouette Studio. ("Merge" brings the design into the page you're working on. "Open" would open it on a new page.) I wanted to show that increasing the line width doesn't "save" without detaching the lines. You could cut your design right from the software, without "saving" or "merging" it. Hope that makes sense.

If you press shift and g on your keyboard you can toggle through grid settings. Sometimes I have trouble with this and it might be my computer resources. But if that doesn't work, go to your profile>settings>canvas>canvas grid. You can choose from full grid, partial grid, or no grid. Hope that helps.

way to much work to get a star, so much for this software being easy to use...design space gives you free basic shapes
@SayItWithSimplicity
@SayItWithSimplicity Жыл бұрын
Hi Gloria! I have both a Cricut Maker and Silhouette Cameo and use them both on a regular basis. I enjoy Design Space as well. When you get a new Silhouette, you get many free designs too. Silhouette Studio is a powerful program, and once you design images, they can be saved to use over and over. You can even create images to use outside the program. My point of the video is to share how you can make a design while learning to use the tools. Thanks for watching!
@gloriaflucks4482
@gloriaflucks4482 Жыл бұрын
@@SayItWithSimplicity While I appreciate you showing how to use different tools, it's ridiculous that you have to go through all that to get a simple star. Basic shapes should be free for everyone to use without having to go through all of that to create one or to have to purchase it. All I get is frustration from trying to use Silhouette Studio.

When I check out it says, Thank you for your order, and have the order ID number. It will also say that Purchased items will be added to your library. Have you checked your library to see if they are there? You should get an e-mail. Be sure that the e-mail is the one that is registered with your store account. I'm not sure why you would be having a problem, but I would contact Silhouette if your problem is not resolved. Thanks for watching.

Hi. I took a snapshot of an image and have a black background with some patterns in the background. How do I remove the background but keep the small patterns in the design?
@SayItWithSimplicity
@SayItWithSimplicity Жыл бұрын
Hi Anna. That's a tough one to answer without seeing the image or working with it. You might consider doing more than one trace. If the small images are one color, you could select just that color in the trace panel. That may work for you. There is also an inversion tool in the image effects panel of Silhouette Studio. On the right side, the image effects panel looks like a circle that is half white, half gray/black. You might be able to pull out some of your small images from the black by inversion and then tracing. Then you can select them and invert them back if that makes sense. I can offer help through my Facebook group if interested. facebook.com/groups/2194264584190990

Hi mam..I just wanted to ask if how did or rather what did u do or what application did u used to add GLYPHS in ur Silhouette Studio
@SayItWithSimplicity
@SayItWithSimplicity Жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking. I have Silhouette Studio Business Edition, so glyphs are easily accessible in that edition. If you are using standard edition and are on a windows computer, you can use your character map. I actually now prefer Character Map UWP which you can get from the Microsoft Store. It's very easy to use and you can copy and paste glyphs in from that app very easily.

Could I use lightweight fusible interfacing instead of the spray starch?
@SayItWithSimplicity
@SayItWithSimplicity Жыл бұрын
I have not tried the interfacing, but I have cut fabric with heat and bond. Fused side down. I like to use painters tape around the edges. I would try it on smaller test cuts first, but if well bonded, I think it should work out. Best of luck, and thanks for watching!
@SparkyOne549
@SparkyOne549 Жыл бұрын
@@SayItWithSimplicity Thanks for your reply! Yes, I meant fusible interfacing on the wrong side of the fabric. Heat and bond is a fusible interfacing. I don’t have a silhouette machine, I was just wondering. What do you mean by using painters tape around the edge?
@SayItWithSimplicity
@SayItWithSimplicity Жыл бұрын
@@SparkyOne549 Sorry, I didn't mean to be confusing. If I was cutting with the Silhouette, I would use tape around the edges of my fabric to prevent it from lifting from the mat when cutting with the machine. If you're cutting by hand, no need to worry about that. If you use something like heat and bond, you could also choose to sew or do a no-sew option. Have fun with your project.
