I can only imagine how pumped SEAL team 6 was before this mission. Balls to walls Americana right here. I love this country more than anyone could know.

the fact that she realizes, understands, what they are doing by putting that "body shield" around her is awesome. And a testament to all the people that put together her rescue.

This will sound harsh but think about it. First, I hope she apologized to all those men and women that rescued her for her bad decisions. The US will not payoff terrorists and kidnappers and that is good, we will save and rescue US citizens that is good. With "so many previous warnings" this lady still threw caution to wind and put herself into harms way on purpose, it cost many lives and millions of dollars of money because of it. She meant well but she is not a good person because she didn't care about the repercussions of her actions, I don't know her mindset back then, just only thought she was making a difference and nothing else. She was warned over and over yet still did it. That million spent on rescuing her could have fed those kids for a year or built a school, but no the lady that needed attention and self admiration wasted that on herself. Now she or other people will come back at me and say she really wanted to help with de-mining training to save lives, OK but they said don't go and look at how she made it worse by not listening to experts and military. You are a blond woman in a chaotic black Muslim country when on any given night you could get raped and killed, you never should have gone there. Notice I never mentioned the guy, he was just hired to escort her, I don't think it was his dumb decision to go there.

She made the choice to go to a dangerous country. I don’t agree with putting the lives of men with young families in danger and spending 100 million dollars on rescuing her. She knew the risks and she still made the decision to go. Reckless and all ego driven.

These are the stories that make you proud to be an American. I am ashamed at my government a lot lately but I love this country and the men and women who serve it. I started to shed a tear when she was talking about the SEALs grabbing her from bed. They really make the impossible happen.

Jessica. I'm a Marine, retired in 1988. I did two trips to Vietnam, I'm a weather forecaster. My job was primarily briefing pilots on their missions. I even worked with HMX-1 (Presidential Helicopter Squadron). Trust me, I know what precious cargo is. This mission to rescue you was absolutely by the book. The Seals can do it with their eyes closed, and you'll never even know who they were! I'm extremely happy to see you rescued and looking so well. I'm also extremely proud of our highly trained Sailors and how well they carried out your mission. God B;ess

Wow! True heroes and probably the most brutal, rugged, manly macho tough guys you'd never want to piss off end up being gentle sensitive teddy bears and treated that young lady like a porcelain doll! When she said they heard a noise and abruptly formed a circle 360 and used their own bodies as human shields as cover over hers, that part really got me emotionally! Words can't even describe how much respect and admiration I have for these young people, truly an amazing story of bravery and Valor. What's even more remarkable and unbelievable is that to these guys its just another day at the office! If you tried to commend or thank them they'd be humbled to say no big deal was just doing my job, next mission sir?
