I just did the SAT practice test 1 without any studying and I scored a 960. I'm not that disappointed since I didn't even study to begin with but it's rather demotivating. Can anyone else share their before test experiences and actual SAT scores. I'm going to give the SAT test on November 2nd. Good luck to y'all too.

Is self study effective? I’m willing to put 2k or 4k into the Princeton review but some ppl online who have scored 1500 told me Princeton review isn’t worth it and self studying with khan academy is better.
@starscapesss11 ай бұрын
I think self study is effective if you put the time and full effort into actually studying- one of my super big tips whenever telling someone how to prepare for the SAT is to simulate testing conditions every single time you want to take a practice version so that it’ll help prepare you for the real version!!

I have to choose between Vandy and John Hopkins. I visited candy and it had such a beautiful campus and a seemingly nice social vibe going on, but I am scared Hopkins lacks this. I plan to visit Hopkins next month though. Are you glad you chose Hopkins?
@shioriharima Жыл бұрын
I assume you are talking about Vandy? I visited both campuses and while I liked Vandy's campus, with all things considered, I chose Hopkins because I felt like I fit in better with the community and 'vibe.' Personally, I'm glad I chose Hopkins because I've met a lot of cool people and the academics/research is great!
@lalaland9646 Жыл бұрын
@@shioriharima yes I meant vandy lol. Autocorrect always changes it. I’m visiting Hopkins soon but from the pics and videos it looks very bleak and lacking of social life compared to Vandy life. Would you say this is true? I also heard the students are very depressed and the dorms are ugly.

Johns Hopkins has an “all business, all the time” reputation. You don’t go there to party.
