This pc can be upgraded to 16gb of ddr3-1600 in dual channel, a 960 gb ssd and a rx 580 for less than $200. With these upgrades, the pc will happily serve you for another 4-5 years

The PC brand and model tend to matter less than the CPU and motherboard, as those determine upgradability. You can bump this up to i7-3770 (3.4GHz 4c/8t), 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 RAM, and AMD RX 550 4GB (only 50W TDP no external power connection needed).

Great video man! if you will upgrade to i7 4790, you can go with the GPU up to 2080 like i did! and then you will have a great gaming pc! the i7 4790 is way stronger then the i5. hope to see a video with the i7 :) i uploaded 2 videos with warzone 2 on i7 4790 and RTX 2080, and i'm playing 1080p on 60-70 fps, and 1440p on 50-60 fps.

I actually had one of these a few years ago as my first entry level gaming pc when my teenage son got my back into gaming (Fortnite of course). It had the exact same cpu but it came with 12GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM, WD 128GB Sata SSD & a 2TB Hard Drive. I upgraded the RAM to 16GB which is the max for this computer I think. I also got rid of the hard drive & the small SSD & went with a 1TB Sata SSD instead. It didn't come with a GPU so I added a MSI GTX 1050 ti 4GB low profile GPU. I gave the 128GB SSD to someone at work who didn't have one. Anyway it did me well for a while but I ultimately had to sell it when I upgraded to full on Prebuilt Gaming PC. I didn't want it laying around the house doing nothing so figured someone else could benefit from it. Thanks for sharing. :)

I stuck the NVIDIA GeForce4 MX440 that I found back in my Dell Dimension L1000R that I sadly as of March of 2021 had to bin in the garbage because of the said reality of space constraints and in addition to that hardware limitations on the part of the machine. I also got rid of the GeForce4 MX440 along with it. The version of the NVIDIA Forceware drivers that I was using was version 29.42 is the version that I am using and I would strongly recommend not going beyond version 30.82 just for compatibility reasons. Half-Life performs how I would expect it to on a machine with a competent video card. Ever since I had put the NVIDIA Geforce4 MX440 SE PCI that was originally in the system back in and stopped using the ATI Radeon 7000 PCI. I played the first four chapters of Half-Life from Anomalous Materials all the way to the beginning part of Blast Pit just to give my baseline average. I think that I got 30 to 47 FPS. That Geforce4 MX440 SE PCI is really not a bad card. I ran Half-Life at a screen resolution of 1280×1024. But of course I had EAX 1.0 Support enabled in Half-Life. Half-Life during the resonance cascade scene went from a high 79 FPS to an average 54 FPS and as low as 22 FPS at an resolution of 1280×768 on Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML but of course if I was to put an Intel Pentium M on the system that I was running it on then it would probably run better. I think that the Gateway M320 that I used to have had Intel 855GM/GME Extreme Graphics. Quake 3 Arena on system with an NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 and an AMD Duron clocked at 1.1 Ghz performs not that badly. After all, AMD had a better track record not just with the high end such as their Athlon lineup but also, their budget lineup. That is not to say that the Intel Pentium III and the Intel Celeron Coppermine were bad choices. That AMD system which has an VIA KT133A chipset. Quake II runs perfectly on such a machine. Especially if you install the AMD 3DNow optimized patch created for the AMD K6-2. The last CPU to support 3DNow was the AMD Phenom II X4. What I used to test Direct3D8 on the machine was Unreal Tournament 2004. Saw some performance stuttering but not much. That Duron can handle that game. Unreal Tournament 1999 which was Direct3D 7 compared to UT2004 shows how technology took a significant leap from 2000 to 2002. The version of NVIDIA drivers on the AMD system that I was using was 21.83 under Windows 98 just like the Dell Dimension L1000R was the last time I had that system. I have yet to test a Radeon 7000 DDR on a Pentium II Klamath clocked at 266 Mhz on an Abit BE6-II.

I used this graphics card for my 700 MHz Pentium III processor with Windows 2000 and 256 mb ram and DVD drive. My computer played games like GTA 3, Max Payne 1, Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowwind, Metal Gear Solid 1 (on high settings), WarCraft 3 (plus expansion) and Diablo 2 (plus expansion and on high settings). Heck, it surprisingly can play games like GTA Vice City and Metal Gear Solid 2 but only on low settings. The reason why I could barely and surprisingly play the latter two games was because of the optimization of these games. Both games technically require 800 mhz Pentium 3 processor but if your processor has better than 32 mb video ram* and 128 mb ram* (*the minimum amount of video ram and regular ram to play these games) and you have a DVD drive and your processing speed is pretty close to 800 Mhz, you can barely play those games on low settings (12-15 fps). Also, the reason why I played Metal Gear Solid 1 and Diablo 2 on high settings because my computer was a bit too powerful for these games. In summary, this computer and graphics card is perfect or right for early 2000's gaming and is capable of playing some mid-2000's computer games (e.g., GTA Vice City and Metal Gear Solid 2 [The PC versions for these games both came out in 2003]).

I have one of those Intel atom craptops and here is my benchmarks: GTA 3 - 20-30 FPS Doom (via zandronum) - 60 (or maybe even more) FPS Half life 2 - 15-60 fps (depending on map and situation) Minecraft 1.8 optifine - 40-60 fps on 800x600 and lower, 10-30 fps on 1024x600 Discord - works fine for atom n570? Garry's mod (2016) - 1024x600, 23-40 FPS depending on situation, again

Its the stutters that I hate the most about this pc, I got the same pc same cpu with an rx 570 and i don't feel like am getting the most out of the gpu even if am not bottlenecked by the cpu + stutters fps drops. I think its the ram speed tbh

I even played NFS Most Wanted and GTA San Andreas on this thing. I was like 13 or 14 around that time. Only after I got a newer PC and then ran Most Wanted on it that I realized how underperforming this thing was. The game was literally running slow on this. But it's still a huge part of my early teen gaming memories regardless.

I have a very nice condition DELL T3500 I would like to sell. I already upgraded it though. It has the 6 core 12 thread XEON. 16GB DDR3 Hynix RAM, and a M.2 256GB on a adapter.....it works great!! It has 2 1TB HDD's, and for graphics it has the Gigabyte Radeon RX550. I also replaced the motherboard with a brand new motherboard recently, because of a coffee accident. I have two new power supplies for it, and a extra front fan set, plus I have two sets of the OEM wiring that was made for it. If somebody gave me a decent offer I would sell it and ship it to them, with all the extra parts!!
