Honest question: The action from the fretboard to the strings seems really high to me. Was that done on purpose to play with the slide or am i missing something?

These vids. of Gary Moore give people like me a chance to hear what he thinks and only makes my appreciation for him even stronger! When I 1st heard, "Still Got The Blues" hit me in my soul! I knew he was an incredible singer & musician. Your music still moves me!

Crazy thing about Gary is that his guitar over shadowed his voice he had a great voice. Hendrix had the same problem

What makes gary different is that he can play different styles very well which is unique

From creativity, to feel,, to execution,,, Gary possessed, and commanded the very best of musical qualities.

A song like "Still Got The Blues" touches so many bases for those of us who loved this man and his music. I think every time someone special died in my life, I would play that song remembering the person and knowing that things are ultimately going to be all right. It's a love song about a woman but the intensity of his vocals and the extraordinary guitar playing go far beyond just another blues song. I will always listen to and enjoy Gary Moore's music and for me, it is therapy right when I need it. We all cry over things sometimes and we should. It says we are human. Thank you Gary Moore...R.I. P.

The best guitarists have all played from their soul, with the tone and feel just shining through. Gary Moore, SRV, EVH, Clapton, BB, Hendrix, Peter Green, Buddy Guy, Eric Johnson and others completely fit that bill. So much for the no nothing jerks who say Gary is rude…..in fact he is very complimentary of other guitarists,for me Gary moore is in the top four cannot be touched guitarists along with rory Gallagher, stevie ray Vaughn,mark Knopfler and of course Gary moore.

I’m sorry, but whenever I hear Gary Moore play what I hear is Carlos Santana. He doesn’t mention him as an influence but that’s what his playing sounds like to me all the time. Which is a very good sound in my book…
