@@Sparky210-11 Thanks. Please realise that the climbing bans at the Grampians have changed over the past 5 years. Snake pit was not banned in 2019. Second, my video upload dates do not reflect when the climb was sent.
@Sparky210-11Ай бұрын
@@jamiesclimbingtravels Thanks. I’m well aware of when the climbing bans started and the current changes. The areas you have climbed in and posted videos are areas that have been banned and closed since 2019 and are still banned and closed. This is also clearly stated and documented on many sites including The Crag. Many many people have and continue to work tirelessly on the Access issues we are facing and trying to build a good relationship with TO’s. We don’t need individuals ignoring these bans and closed areas which in turn undoes a lot of hard work and reflects badly on the climbing community. Please respect these closures and don’t go into restricted areas and also posting it. TO’s see this and as stated above, is not good for the situation and the climbing community. Thank you

@@Sparky210-11 Thanks for your comments. I can tell you care about the state of climbing in Victoria but I would disagree that the areas i've climbed in are/were banned at the time. First, I would be happy for you to find documentation dated from 2018/19 that demonstrates Snake Pit was banned. If I recall correctly, it was never 'officially banned' but simply fell off the access list 2021/22 onward. You'll notice I have no videos from Snake Pit since. Second, i'll kindly let you know that all videos of mine (to knowledge, and happy for you to tell me if you see otherwise) that are now located in banned areas have been updated to tell viewers they need to check what areas are open before climbing. Third, information on thecrag has only been updated in the last year-ish as the GGLMP has been finalised. You are commenting on a video from many years ago. Although I appreciate your efforts and will consider your points, i'm unconvinced my videos have an appreciable impact on access. Again, thanks.

I don't believe it is part of the 13 'allowed' bouldering areas outlined in the Grampians Management plan... historically i've not heard a reason for it being closed but I would double check the Grampians management plan to see what is allowed. :) Hope that helps!

It looks like a legit V5 to me. Sit start on steep overhang, total of 7/8 movements with a slopy exit. I have seen people claiming v5 or more indoor on stuff that was hilariously easy
@romanformicola59045 ай бұрын
@@magnumpunchI work at a gym that used to be fairly sandbagged but in an effort to change that has gone way to far in the other direction and I'm always telling the other setters "V4s are hard, climbing V4 is an accomplishment" . Instead I'm just known as a sandbagger, when I'm really really not.
