This train to BKK seems well appointed and designed in style. You have private space and a sink in the compartment. The train seems newer and more modern than the overnight train I took in Vietnam Hanoi to Sapa. Vietnam first (VIP)class for 2 berths room has 2 beds on opposite sides, no folding bunk bed and it’s USD75 per pax which is not worth the price, in my opinion. I haven’t tried Thai railway service yet. Anyway, thank you for sharing. I recommend you to explore China. They have great high speed train services. You should visit Yunnan, Lijiang, Dali and Shangri La with their many diverse ethic groups. Muslims like to visit there too.
