Why is there like a 'blip' at 2:53? I hear it in other videos too of this song. It's very weird and annoying.. like a notification on the phone. It repeats at the same part of the song.

The original is kind of not at all a long song. I really like the song. I first heard it while i worked 3rd shift at lowes, stocking probably paint and flooring, hearing only the most accentuated lyrics, and a vague melody. "GROOVin. SteppinOoouut" and i thought to myself about this NIN song i downloaded off of napster years ago, its a song with a sample of PSA type media about euphemisms for taking acid. "Grooving" and "stepping out" are mentioned. To top it off, into the night, into the light. Rolling around in a roadside ditch until dawn.

*I MISS YOU 82!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* *Steppin' Out is near the top of my Eighties Faves --- along with Forget Me Nots by Patrice Rushen and Love Come Down by Evelyn "Champagne" King.* So Eighties Glorious! And the absolutely mesmerizing Korg KR-55 synth melody ---- oh so deliciously and melancholically 80s!

Is this a fake version ? Or real long 12" vinyl version of that time?

When no more angry words to say can come alive. That's another line I couldn't agree with more cause that's what we all want nothing that can cause fights or anything like that.

I don't know what MTv is right now? It's in the words of Judge Joe Brown pitiful. Yes the 80's was the last great time for music being that's the last time it only was about the music.

This song just took me back 40 years. I remember seeing the video to this on MTV thinking NYC must be awesome and I wanted to visit that place so badly. Great song and thanks for bringing me back just for a moment to my childhood

And in a yellow taxi turn to me and smile. Today that would be in a Lyft or Uber turn to me and smile cause that's what we use more of these days not taxis.

And in a yellow taxi turn to me and smile I don't think that's something you can do these days cause you have to pay the fare first before you can hop in it's not like before lyft and uber were around where you can get in first and then pay the fare I found that out from watching another KZbin video.
