Great overview of the impact of culture on a business! The corporate culture, values and expectations need to be a key factor in onboarding and performance expectations as well to ensure it is sustained. As you rightly say - every place has a culture, whether you set out to create one or not. Culture tends to follow the lowest common denominator (downward spiral) unless you put in the effort to energize and maintain an upward spiral!
