Do not insult the PS1 like that, even the Super Nintendo would render something magnitudes better than this garbage.

As a Savannah native, and lifelong resident, good list especially Bubba Gumbos and Leopold's which are BOTH awesome, but you missed a few IMHO... First off, Mrs. Wilkes is a MUST for good southern food. Vic's on the River is an amazing laid back spot overlooking the river and really good food. For really good BBQ you've got a LOT of spots (follow the locals) but most are shacks with no indoor seating (as good BBQ spots should be). For good BBQ WITH indoor seating, check out Wiley's on Wilmington Island. Crown and Anchor in Pooler, just a short drive away has some of the BEST fish and chips you'll ever eat in the US as well as a good selection of other English means and a BIG selection of savory pies. For a quick slice of pizza stop by Vinnie Van Go-Go's in city market, I don't know HOW they pull off amazing NYC pizza with local water, but they do. Both The olde Pink House and Elizabeth's aren't as trendy, but they've been Savannah staples for a reason, BOTH are well worth the money... You may have noticed there's ONE place I didn't mention that comes to mind when folks who ain't from here think "Restaurants in Savannah"... There's a reason for that... NONE of us locals eat there. Go to Mrs. Wilkes instead... Heck, you can get better fried chicken at some of the Parker's Kitchen gas stations around Savannah than THAT place I didn't name. (and don't shrug at the Parker's Kitchen food, it's actually REALLY good for a quick and affordable meat and three)

Nice looking room. I usually stay at The Intercontinental in the business district. Plenty of restaurants and bars there, and is roughly 3 blocks from the French Quarter. There’s so much to do in New Orleans. It’s one of my annual getaways.

@@TravelCheckIns One of the best Shrimp & Grits that I had with a great view of the activity in Jackson Square was at Cafe Pontalba An old time cafe luncheonette that I love is Marjorie’s Commerce. They’re open for breakfast and lunch. Their breakfasts will absolutely satisfy you. And for lunch, I love their red beans & rice, shrimp po boy, fried chicken. I’ve never had a bad meal there. Luke is one of my oysters spots to stop in. They also have a really good shrimp & grits. Also, try the bread pudding. Right across the street from Luke is the best happy hour menu I know at Trenasse. Who goes to New Orleans and wind up eating BBQ?? I did! 🤷🏾♂️ The Joint served some of the best burnt ends that I ever had, along with their ribs, chicken, and sides. Willy’s Chicken Shack can be found dotted around the French Quarter. The chicken is ok. But I love their biscuits and slushes! Lastly, the aesthetics inside Oceana Grill could use some work. But their seafood menu was pretty good.

I totally get it! We’re in Columbia and made it a point this year to start exploring more of SC as tourists. We were there last week for the fireworks show at Riverfront park. We usually go to Fort Jackson, but decided to switch things up. That’s also another great event to enjoy as a local if you’ve never done it before. There was a live performance on a huge stage and lots of food vendors.

I have stayed at the Bellagio several times and would have asked to be moved. If they had refused, then that would have been an issue. They need to know about the room issue. I have had bad rooms in different hotels and they made it right for me. I had a room one time that seem to be catching restaurant fumes and smelled like the grill cooking hamburgers. Not the worst smell, but different.
