Gordon does have a tendency to berate people, most likely as a result of both his personality and the fact that this is on tv, and Billy is right that you can get a point across, even very critically, without being insulting. Still, these motherfuckers have definitely seen the show before and know that in almost every episode ever, that's how Gordon behaves. There is no way they could not have known this to be a possibility, and there's certainly no way Billy should be surprised by it. Moreover, if you peel back all the theatrics and vitriol, Gordon is reacting to serious and very frustrating problems, namely that Billy won't take any responsibility due to shame and embarrassment. That particular state of psychology makes one ripe for defensive behavior and emotional retreat, which is what you're seeing in Mr Billy. Nevertheless, he is 46 years old, or at least he was in this video, and at that age, he should have been more than capable of telling Gordon that he accepts his criticism but would be more capable of working with a more relaxed tone. There's also a bit of stupidity at work here, like thinking you deserve credit for doing 5% of your job. That is unfortunately not how being an adult works
