Just don't expose the rear motor to rain or cross streams of water. This motors are NOT water proof! Just like a car engine.

You're better off taking that pos out and replacing it with a direct drive hub motor with no puny nylon gears to ware out and leave you stranded. Those geared hub motors are some of the worst excuses for technology i have ever seen. Not safe at all when they fail while you're in traffic or going up hill. If i were you id replace it now before it's too late. And never buy an ebike without making sure of its components.

My Hub Motor is Jam and it's can run when I padel but bay hand it's feel so jam. Controlar is ok because I check with other bike. But motor is Jam issue only. Before battery was 25k per charge but now only 2km.

I thought you were going to just post the problem but I am so glad you posted what happened and your solution. To prevent this you could actually just spray the whole thing with a little bit of WD-40 every once in awhile as well. It's meant to keep the water displaced out of the unit and is non-conductive so works great in motors like this. Try not to saturate it so you don't hurt the enamel on the wires and concentration spray on the metal parts and plastic gearboxes.

This was a custom order way back years ago, Iron Ranger copy. I don't know they branded it as Arizona now but yes this is reddish brown in color.

@@mistermastermind528 this kind of leather is not the polish to shine or 'glossy' type.. to maintain its clean look, you can just wipe it off with a cream for leather

I have the Vtuvia Gemini(1000w 52v with 21amp battery). How does one control the throttle. It's almost like it goes from 0 to 100% (like an on and off) . I move the throttle like 1.5cm and the motor kicks in hard. It does go faster as it picks up momentum. but still it has a kick. It's not like an motorcycle "accelerator" where you press it 1.5cm it goes upto 20km per hour. then move another 1cm it goes faster to 25 or 30km per hour. then another 1cm it jumps to 35km per hour and then full throttle goes to whatever the maximum is. Reason i ask, say i want to drive slowly down the street (cruise) then i only want 20% or 25% throttle if i keep it there. Currently if i have either 0% power or 100% power. which means it will pickup speed. My only option is, i have to press and release.. press and release to keep myself say at 20km per hour. otherwise it will pickup speed to 40-50km. Any advise?

Yup. Vtuvia is using a generic throttle. I rarely use throttle because of that. You could buy a more expensive throttle with a more define throttle response. But the best way to control your speed is using pedal assist.

@@EugeneHuman-kl1vc in my SN100, the throttle response is independent of the PAS. PAS setting won't affect the throttle response. Same as your Gemini I guess.

Got given a parts bike for my 2000w e bike and the front motor was running but it was beyond fucked after I tore it open. Gears had a massive gash down all the middle of them. Swapped the good part over and back up. Glad the e bike company helped me out. Kinda nice having couple extra spare parts hanging around. Now ima try to replace the planetary gear clutch if I can find one. Might have to 3D print some if all else fails. Never thought id enjoy working on e bikes but here I am xD.

we repair many of these motors ,there is a product from CrC its called CrC red its a poly urathane sealant ,and you paint the whole inside coils magnets the lot,you can heat it to cure the paint but do not go above 85 to 90 degrees celcius,or you may damage the magnets,but once sealed you will neer have corosion from water ingress again

@@dadalonglegs we also usuallyun a bead of 2 part epoxy resin each side of the magnets before paintingto make sure there will no lifting of the magnets in the future either

how many miles did you have this issue ? i bought one through a dealer and i almost have 3k miles ride 22 miles a day rain or shine

I forgot the mileage but it was in year one. I was naive and regularly cleaned the bike :) I even crossed a river. All my fault haha To all new users out there: keep your bike dirty :)

E-bikes should be water resistant. What’s the point of buying one if you can’t ride in the rain? I have a regular bike and sometimes it rains. You would think manufacturers know any better…

Ebikes just like car motors are not meant to be submerged in water or left outside on the rain.
