Imran Bhai, Ford Expedition ya Chevy Suburban?
@desi_enthusiastАй бұрын
Ford Expedition Max is the long version of it that is the direct comparison with Subarban of you want comparable cargo space. But even the regular length Expedition has better seating capacity in the third row. However, from driving perspective and gas mileage, and engine, Expedition is my choice.

Yes I install the cardo packtalk edge which can only be mounted externally. The visor opens all the way only. But so far the best helmet that I have had.

I think mileage standards force them to use thinner materials.
@desi_enthusiastАй бұрын
It still has one of the worst mileage in the category. Even Lincoln Navigator has better mileage and not to mention some of the real high performance European Suvs such as BMW X7 etc. That is why saving on such materials and still charging more than $100k just doesn't make sense to me.

Hello i m 1.92m (6.3 feet) and I was wondering if this bike will fit With high comfort seat and sport suspension ?
@desi_enthusiast2 ай бұрын
Hi, I am 6 ft, and I had to get a high comfort seat. For me now, it is quite comfortable overall. However, for your height, the main concern I would have is the seat to peg distance, which seems a little shorter than I would like. If you don't mind a little more bend in the knee angle, it may be OK. I would highly advise putting handlebar risers for additional comfort. Suspension wise, I strongly suggest the adaptive suspension unless you ride off the road mostly. Both will be fine for your height. I hope this helps.
@tilasslouka62212 ай бұрын
@@desi_enthusiast thank u 🙏 ! But the sport suspension add 2cm and it’s not compatible with the adaptive height control system
@desi_enthusiast2 ай бұрын
Agreed. However, based on your question regarding comfort, the height on the adaptive suspension will be enough, the major challenge will be the seat to pegs distance that will still stay the same. Yet, the other advantages that the adaptive suspension offers can really enhance your riding experience. At least, that's my opinion based on riding bikes with both suspension setups. The sport suspension is also very good but lacks the precision and stiffness for spirited riding the way the adaptive suspension provides. My suggestion is to test ride both and then decide. Good Luck.

No need to extend the cables. The original length is long enough to cover the change in handlebar height and extension.

Why do you roll off throttle when you use quick shifter...and you wonder why its clunky?
@desi_enthusiast4 ай бұрын
I have addressed that in my videos after this one. Please try to ride most other bikes with quick shifters such as BMW S1000 XR, even BMW K1600 and numerous other Ducatis , Triumphs and most Japanese bikes equipped with quick shifters. Roll on or roll off shouldn't matter with a slipper clutch. Now that I have had this R1300 GS for a couple of months, I am dealing with it better. However, at best, I can describe this quick shifter as the best in the BMW boxer lineup, but no way near the best ones out there as a whole.

@desi_enthusiast5 ай бұрын
Thanks! Both are unbelievably good in different ways, but the tech, better highway comfort, relaxed cruising, low-end grunt, handling, better resale value and shaft drive sealed it for me. However, the accessories for the 1300gs are so hard to get. Even the crash guards that I bought have a long wait. XR once it gets going is just simply intoxicating. Good Luck

Take a look at videos of others using the quick shifter. It looks very smooth compared to you. So perhaps yours is defective or you are using it incorrectly. I think you said turn power off when shifting, which is incorrect, keep throttle steady. And of course compared to a 4 or 6 cylinder bike it will never be as smooth. Also, the manual says the following: If you are riding at a constant speed and in coasting overrun in a low gear at high RPMs, shifting gears with- out clutch control can cause strong power-off reactions.
@desi_enthusiast5 ай бұрын
I really appreciate your feedback. I think I am now getting the hang of this shifter slowly. However, I think you probably misunderstood the point of my gripe, or maybe I could not explain it well enough. All I am saying is that yes, when I compared this quick shifter with the previous GS generations, it is absolutely much better but if I compare it with any of the non boxer engine bikes, it isn't. I will soon upload a comparison of how the shifter in the S1000XR works seamlessly in both generations. You can also watch my video of the K1600s, the 2023 GTL, and a recent video on K1600 B as reference, too. In almost all of them, you really don't have to worry about the throttle positioning at all. This is the primary function of the slipper clutch. That's where I was a little disappointed because of so much hype about it. Hey, but I bought this bike despite that because it is just so good otherwise.
@JoeS977565 ай бұрын
@@desi_enthusiastyea I have no doubt it is smoother on the K1600 and XR. Enjoy your new bike and I look forward to seeing more videos.

Shifting stay on the throttle and not shift at 3,000 RPMs. Rev the engine. The Enduro package does nothing for the suspension unless you get the sport suspension. IT is 20mm higher and stiffer. What mode were you riding on each bike?
@desi_enthusiast6 ай бұрын
Thank you for the tip. I tried both road and rain modes. It is unpredictable, but I know that one can get used to it. Just spoiled by creamy shifters of other bikes such as S1000XR, K1600 Triumph Tiger, Goldwing, and many others, where it doesn't matter whether you are off throttle or WOT. But this is an unbelievable bike otherwise.
@clb_iv64216 ай бұрын
I agree. My 2020 XR was butter smoother. I am currently on a 2022 GSA which I competed in the GS Trophy qualifier this year on. My 1300 is sitting in a crate waiting to be shipped from Germany. @@desi_enthusiast
@desi_enthusiast6 ай бұрын
Awesome. That sounds like a lot of fun. 👍. I also bought the second but swapped the low seat with high comfort one. Honestly, the good quick shifters work both ways. Throttle off or on. So people who only have experience with a certain types of bikes might want to try the ones with great quick shifters instead of trying to tell us how it is done. 😀
@desi_enthusiast6 ай бұрын
The Eduro package also comes with sport suspension that is not adaptive and it is different from the one I am riding in this video. I bought this bike by the way. You also might want to ride some bikes with great quick shifters where throttle off or on is irrelevant.
@clb_iv64215 ай бұрын
@@desi_enthusiast That is awesome. I get mine on Wednesday. The Enduro package does not come with the sport suspension. It is a separate option. It retains all adaptive systems but does not lower. It is 20mm higher than the standard suspension.
@JoeS977566 ай бұрын
You are not supposed to close the throttle when using the quick shifter. I wondered if that was your issue as I've seen many other videos without that jerking.
@desi_enthusiast6 ай бұрын
I know but that's out of habit and on the S1000 XR, and K1600 as well as even on a 2012 Kawasaki Concours, Triumph tigers of all generations, Honda Goldwing and many other bikes, it just does not make a difference whether you close the throttle or not. So that's why I was surprised.
@JoeS977566 ай бұрын
