I know, it should have but it didn't really smell much. The way we first noticed these growing by the driveway was the smell though. I just dug up the mulch around this one when it first appeared and brought it in to work.

I can't believe how fast these things grow. 6 inches in 6 hours?! O_O I've heard of sidewalks cracking that they grew up through because they grew so fast.
