Happy New year Joe 🎉... looking good 👍🏻 .... hey, any tips on shooting your clips? 😅. .. i got a gopro clone for Christmas... been having a bit of fun getting used to it. At the moment i fixed up a wee camera wagon so i can drag the camera around behind the train...but i think i need to get a bit more creative 😎

I just use my phone tbh! I just keep trying different angles and see what I get the more you do it the better an eye you get for angles and framing. Practice is the best advice I can give

I’ve enjoyed watching all your videos 👍👍🚞 Happy new year for2025 What are the red coaches you ran behind Edrig after you had the loco black ?? Thanks again for all the effort you have put in to make the Vids
@16mmscaletrains17 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. The coaches are Ip engineering kits. The front one is a Penrhyn Saloon and the rear ones are Matchboard sided freelance ones

Even with a lot remaining to do on the garden railway, the rock walls, the lineside greenery, the natural wood fence, make a handsome setting for viewing the colorful trains.

Still one of my favorite railways... Just my $0.02, but I thought the transitions were a little disruptive. Other than that, another perfectly enjoyable train video making me wish I'd get a moment to rebuild my layout...

Hmm cheers Joe I might but I've pinky promised my BMW an engine refresh Been on the promise for about 4 years now I just can't kick the can much further down the road and it's been a faithful car for many years Keep posting em up I'll keep watching

You need to turn the coal down a bit - making waaaay too much steam there and wasting it. What a glorious sight and sound that all is!!!

fun video. would rather hear the trains instead of the music.
@ianparkingАй бұрын
Hi Joe What's with the music? Am only here to see the engines run so I want to hear em too Keep the music for those into feng shui
@16mmscaletrainsАй бұрын
Some people like the music some people don't. I'm just trying new things and learning more about editing. The sound of the locos is still there though
@16mmscaletrainsАй бұрын
Feedback is good though, I still have lots to learn
@ianparkingАй бұрын
Well you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time What's the channel about? Who's the demographic? Why are we watching? I started because I was interested in how you laid the track and then built the garden up to it Now I'm interested in how it changes over time. The engines are lovely but they need to be going somewhere and coming back from there So I think I would name two areas and show us how you modelled them How about a station for people and an industrial area for freight Maybe coal and wagons and a coalmine As for the music it's not for me I'm here for the steam engines
@16mmscaletrainsАй бұрын
Thanks for your feedback! I have lots of plans for developing the railway! A station has been started and buildings people and other details will be added as and when I have time. I've been rather busy lately but hope to get more work done soon
@ianparkingАй бұрын
Don't rush Enjoy the process so we can I'll be waiting As for me I can't wait to rebuild my BMW's engine (ruinously expensive, the pistons alone would get a roundhouse Katie kit) But we've all got our little picadillos don't we

I somehow missed this being published, I blame Storm Bert This is really good, i like how you get the interesting camera angles. Edrig is really beautiful, and it feels from watching, she is running smoother, and feels at home now on the W&MLR, and the round of the coaches is excellent

When mounting the camera for the 'out the side footage' do you counter-balance the weight on the other side of the camera wagon?
@16mmscaletrainsАй бұрын
I use my phone so the camera is offset anyway. The wagon is also very heavy to keep it stable so the phone can be offset slightly too!
