One time when Roy Davis was walking with Paramahansa Yogananda he asked of all the Masters you have known how many were fully Liberated and Yogananda said not many. I think the masters he put in his book Autobiography of a Yogi were the fully liberated ones, Ma Ananda Mayi, Sri Ramana Maharishi and so on.
